We were a total of thirty-one assassins including the master - that's what he called himself - we were more than that in the beginning but with time, a lot gave up or were killed during operations and that's saying something about the rest of us that we were really good. My life was on a schedule that was directed by the master. He wasn't against relationships between mates as long as it didn't affect the job we were assigned to and that was why I allowed myself to become a close partner with Audrey. I wouldn't call us friends, I was reputed to be a cold-hearted being with no emotions so how could I have friends? I cared for her and she was the only thing I allowed myself to indulge on till

After all, now that they had passed on in peace, they wouldn’t end up turning into evil spirits… Either way, now that they were gone, Gerald drew the Astrabyss Sword before starting to mutter some odd incantations… The spell Gerald was chanting was known as Soul Eater, and casting it enabled him to completely exterminate villainous spirits. As Gerald had earlier said, any spirits caught within the punishing spell wouldn’t be able to be reincarnated… While Gerald rarely used the spell, he knew he had to use it on the dead Soul Hunters. After all, they deserved this punishment, and Gerald wasn’t about to let them die in peace and escape judgment.

"It's rare to see arcane implements like this. That explains how Sylas grew so powerful so fast. The talisman probably caused your severe injuries." Homer sighed. "At first, we were evenly matched. Then he did something I didn't expect. He sensed that the men he had dispatched to the York residence had been taken out. In a rage, he unleashed his ultimate move—Soul-Eater Manifestation. He said he prepared it for you originally." Aria's hand froze. Sylas might be behind both the Soul-Eater Manifestation and the Wailing March. Back in Portfall, she had encountered someone who used the Wailing March on her. The effect was instantaneous—the sound was that of infinite spirits crying out in despair

“I’m going to change that. I’m going to take the throne and show this imposter you call your personal maiden that she is to bow to me and not you.” “Is this about dear old Samantha?” Ryu’s flame kindled, his sinister aura growing more and more per second. Ilyra read it twice.

Keysha said earnestly. "You are wrong. Key, the woman who was supposed to be with Rey, has died, and I am the soul that fills the empty body of the woman Rey loves," Carissa thought. "I can't promise, because I don't know what God is planning for me, but one thing is clear: as long as I'm still entrusted with being with Rey, then I will do it," said Carissa. So Sura only eat the soul, while Elisia consumed everything. He glared at Elisia with a dark expression, making her tremble in fear. "You don't deserve to live. You shouldn't have your happy ending." His words were like knives piercing through her heart. She knew what she did back then was wrong. If only Thane knew what it felt like to be a demon.
