The Werewolf King Part 2

Thane took a sigh while sitting on the couch in the living room. He leaned his back, putting his head on the backrest and stared at the ceiling.

He was supposed to be dead. He wanted to die so badly and even planned his own death for years. He wasn't really sure if he would die from wolfsbane but he felt that he took his last breath that night. Even the demon princess, Athanasia, confirmed that the werewolf clan mourned for him.

Thane Cromwel became the Werewolf King when his uncle, Zion Sebastian Verlice, the former king, was elected as one of the Elysian Elders. He wasn't ready to take the throne and he never wanted to be the next king. But he was the only suitable heir at that time.

The year 2035 was the year Terrans, formerly called humans, and all creatures of light and darkness coexisted.

Terra, a planet chosen by the Gods, was now a place where Terrans, Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, and all other creatures became its inhabitants.

The Cromwels' was originally from Mirrikh, the second planet that could sustain the lives of all creatures. It was called the red planet because you could smell the scent of blood through the air, and even the color of its surroundings was red. It was considered one of the most dangerous places to live in.

Mirrikh was a place for the creatures who didn't have a clan. Those who had been exiled on their own and those who had committed a crime against others were now considered fugitives by the Elysian Elders.

Those creatures living in Mirrikh formed their own clan and named it the Night Howlers. It wasn't the best place for the Cromwels', but it was the only home Thane knew ever since he was born.

His life in Mirrikh was hard. He didn't expect that one day, a man would appear in front of him and would take him as his son.

Zion was his mother's stepbrother. He came to Mirrikh when he found out about them. At first, Thane hated Zion. The Verlice Family was the reason his parents were exiled, but he had a change of heart when he learned about the truth.

Now, he considered Zion and Amaris his parents.

Thane took a deep breath when he heard the two sisters' voices. They were arguing about him. He wasn't sure if the women knew that he could hear their conversation, but he didn't really care.

Even if Athanasia didn't suggest living with Elisia, he already planned on staying with her. There was a reason he needed to die that night. Now that his plan was ruined, he needed Elisia to find a way to bring him back to his grave.

He took another deep breath when he heard another yelling inside the room across from the living room. Elisia brought him to the Cohen's mansion, hoping that her sister could help to get rid of him. But she didn't expect that Athanasia would be in his favor.

He made another sigh when the sisters took the time to talk about the situation. He was beginning to lose his patience so he stood up and without knocking, barged inside the room.

He frowned when he saw the two were both in their demon form. Athanasia with her huge black wings, white hair and red eyes looked so majestic. While Elisia's appearance was a bit different from her sister's. Her wings had different colors, one was black and the other was white. Her eyes had different colors, too, red and silver, but her hair didn't change at all. It was still red.

"Are you planning on killing each other?" He asked with an amused face.

Elisia was pissed seeing the werewolf king's reaction. He was clearly enjoying the fact that she and Athanasia were fighting.

She bit her lips to control herself. She transformed back to her Terran form and saw her sister do the same. Elisia realized she didn't have a choice but to do what Athanasia suggested.

Earlier, Athanasia explained to her why she told her to live with Thane.

"Elisia, you know how much I loved you. But this is the only way that we could keep his mouth shut. What do you think would happen if Zion and the Elders found out about what you did? We're all going to pay for it. I have kids Elisia. They would not spare them."

Athanasia had twins a few months ago. They weren't like them. They didn't inherit any powers from their mother. Athanasia was happy that her kids were just normal Terrans, though.

Elisia looked at the two cradles and saw a boy and a girl sleeping quietly. She bit her lips and in her mind, apologized repeatedly to her niece and nephew. She walked towards the cradle and then looked at her sister.

"I don't care. If you don't want to help me, then I have to force you." She said while showing her hands to her sister.

Her nails slowly grew and she started to transform into her demon form.

"Elisia! Don't you dare touch my children or else I will bring you to Levaerun myself!"

Levaerun, meaning free land, was a place where the elders of Terra gathered to maintain peace, security and develop friendly relations with every creature. It was also the place where a criminal or an offender would be judged and received punishment.

She saw Athanasia transform. It was just her first form. She didn't transform into her bestia.

Elisia knew her sister was a powerful demon. Unlike her, she was trained to fight. She was always on the frontline and had led legions to war. She knew she had no match against her. But she was so desperate. She needed to get away from the werewolf king and live with the man she loved in peace.

She was about to attack first when Thane barged in. He was amused and was enjoying the scene. Elisia bit her lips and then sat down on the floor, helplessly.
