Her voice was a symphony of pure enchantment, a melodic whisper that could charm the gods themselves. “Mate? What's that?” I asked again, still walking closer to her. And mate bond is a fated union, chosen by me to identify who your mate is. It's marked by a strong, irresistible attraction between the two mates.” Her tone was soothing, calming, and uplifting all at once, like a gentle summer breeze.

I corrected him. “No. I mean soul matched. A soul mate is someone who you feel like you’ve known long before you meet and that you blend with enough to make a comfortable and amiable life together. A soul match is a bond that is created by a higher power to seal two souls together no matter the circumstances. We were destined to meet and, as hard as we try and no matter who we pair up with, we will always have a need to interact with each other.” His voice cracked as he said in a voice that was just above a whisper, “It can be a torturous affliction if only one of us loves the other.”
