Blue eyes, blonde hair, and whispers in the wind. I woke with a start, unease clawing at my chest. This was the third night, the same dream haunting me. In the bathroom, I splashed water on my face, seeking solace in the coolness. As I lifted my gaze, the mirror revealed a shocker. My hair, once a rich blonde, now cascaded down my back in a river of white. Not gray, not silver, but a radiant, snowy hue, eerily reminiscent of the woman in my dream.

I made up for my insistence on abstaining by washing her hair. I’d noticed that with each washing, the boxed color was fading more and more. However, the color it was changing to, was not her original pale blonde. “Your hair is changing,” I commented. She nodded, “I noticed the color was fading, but it isn’t coming back blonde.” I kissed her freshly washed scalp. “You’re becoming that silver-haired beauty from Vell’s childhood.” She squirmed and wiggled and twisted so she was facing me, testing the limits of my abstinence.

“I’m fine Ale. I’m just going to touch up and we can head back.” “Umm, are you sure about that? Because your hair is almost white, and you’re glowing. Like a Fucking beacon.” Looking at myself in the mirror, I couldn’t believe my eyes. My once updo is now down and in loose wave. |ELENA’S POV| I spent the last four days watching YouTube videos on how to bleach my hair by continuously testing it out on the wigs that I brought with me when I traveled down to Orion but no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t get it right so I ended up braiding my hair into a messy corn row, putting on a bald cap and trying to alter my hair color by installing one of my favorite blonde asymmetrical bob frontal wigs that I was going to use for Halloween.

Once her hair was thoroughly detangled, the maids began the delicate process of fixing it. They wove the strands together, creating an intricate ombre effect that blended seamlessly from dark ebony at the roots to a soft, silvery white at the tips. The final touch was a loose braid that hung down her back, its ends tied with a simple ribbon. "If you want a different look, try balayage. We're just going to give your hair volume, so it'll be a little bit wavy down. Do you like that?"
