“I summoned them. Tell them what you need and they’ll fetch it.” I swallowed hard and reached for my satchel at the foot of the bed. My fingers fumbled as I pulled free one of my mother’s spellbooks, the worn leather cover cool against my clammy hands. My heart raced as I flipped through the pages, skimming past wards, charms, and healing rites until I landed on the spell I needed. “Yes, here.” My voice shook as I read the faded words. “I’ll need wolfsbane, powdered moonstone, river salt, and fresh sage. Quickly!”

I flipped through her spellbook in hopes of finding a spell similar to the one used to attack Xavier. I doubted she had that kind of spell present, but I had to try. I browsed through the whole book and found nothing. There were glamor spells and spells that could be used to the detriment of a werewolf. But there was nothing related to the spells used against Antonio’s body to fight Xavier. There were no spells on necromancy, and I doubted the witch, Carmila, was a necromancer. “This is enough. Time to get out of here.” I dropped the spellbook back into the position where I found it and tried my best to cover up every trace of my getting to the book.

I wanted to think that Bruce is doing this because he does like me, and not just because there’s someone behind him that made him do it. I also rarely see and meet Lucas. It has already been up to this point that I was slapped with the truth. The spell broke off easily when I casted it on him. Maybe the spell that was used on him is so powerful that it can easily break off my spell. My spells are no ordinary spells. Some of the spells and enchantments that I am using come from the book of Demonic Spells. It was in our guild’s room filled with books. That's why I read and studied it on my own without Pi’s knowledge.

That was all, but I had been wary of the knowing smile he had given me for a split second. "Yes." I muttered, waiting for him to leave before I opened the book. "That would be all." He bowed, leaving the room. The librarian wasn't an old man with a face covered in grey hairs. He was young, older than I was, but younger than the stereotype and definitely weirder. I scanned the book and realised the order of druids contained spells translated to English. These were too useful to be locked away and forgotten inside this dark, cold room. The book listed the spells numbered in ascending order. A few of them had symbols next to them and a how-to-use description attached to it.

Elias nodded and sprinted off. I stayed beside Selene, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “You’re stronger than this,” I muttered. “Come on, fight it.” Elias returned a moment later with the thick, ancient spellbook. Its leather cover was worn and pulsing faintly as if the spell was still active within it. He opened the book carefully and flipped through the pages until he found the right one. “There,” he said, pointing at the incantation written in crimson ink. “It’s a disappearance spell. Meant to send the victim to a limbo or a location chosen by the caster.”

"I will do everything within my power to save your child." With utmost care, Draco scooped me up in his arms, cradling me against his chest as he carried me to the inner chamber. Laying me down gently on the cool floor, he retrieved a worn spellbook, its pages crackling with ancient knowledge. His eyes skimmed the text as his fingers traced the faded glyphs upon the pages, his voice resonating with a mixture of power and vulnerability as he began to chant the incantations that promised to defy the natural order.

I asked them once they all managed to sit down again. Oro's hands shook as he took a book from the table in front of him and opened it. He coughed and arranged his collar a little bit. A nervous tic. "Emm. My King and Queen" he started "since we realised about the prophecy many years ago. We have actually had several special wolves who dedicated their lives to the cause, investigating any shift in the balance of the realms. And that way would be able to inform us of any change in case the prophecy came near. We do not know if we have an enemy yet, we do not even know if there is an enemy.

I say. “Okaaaayyy,” he says, drawing out the word. I run my hands over the potion, feeling that the intent is pure, positive and good. That’s what I needed it to be. “The one who was swayed Has become dismayed He can’t feel his mate In his current state He can’t sense his child The bond is defiled This spell will be cast To see through the last To rise above and sense those he loves” The liquid rises out of the bowl, forming into a watery-looking heart before breaking apart and evaporating into the air.

“Yes, I am. We are half-wolves, but we do not harm humans. We are wronged. We are all innocent. How can children can eat human meat? The children in our pack even got entangled in this mess.” Anais buried her face in her hands, covered in tears. “My name is Elizabeth.” “My name is Anais.” “Let us make a pact. Let us form a curse.” The two women put their palms in the walls that separated them apart. Elizabeth recited some words, and Anais followed her words. They recited the words all night. Preparations are already set. Loads of oil that are bought from the nearby towns surround the firewood, courtesy of the local governor himself.

She was being flagged down by at least three different groups. I finished my meals and ale after about and hour of musing in the main room. I passed the time by bringing out the black leather-bound book out of my pack. It was my personal gift to myself. My own spell book. It only had two cantrips inside of it right now but I was excited about the space I would be filling up. There was plenty of room to add as many spells as I wanted. I could easily add in a hundred spells before I was tapped for space.
