It wasn't that I was secretly hoping Bruno would love me. I just didn't want trouble. I didn't want to have anything to do with my ex anymore. He took my family's company. He could finally marry the woman he loved. He should have been happy with that. However, at the wedding… Bruno waited inside the grand hall, dressed in a black tuxedo. He was supposed to look noble and elegant, but at the moment, he was staring at his phone and repeatedly calling a familiar number.

I tell Kylie, stepping out of the car. “Finally. Lets go” She laughs, opening the door. We walk up to her room, opening her computer screen. “What are we watching?” I ask, sitting on her bed. “Spiderman” She smirks. Spiderman, the only Marvel movies I’ve wanted to see. Its also one of Kylie’s favorite movies. I mean, who doesn’t like Tom Holland? Only all the jealous boyfriends. “I’ll make the popcorn” I head down the stairs, checking my phone to see a missed call.

“I thought you said that was all your toys? What spiderman are you talking about again?” “It's my spiderman, mommy. The one aunt Rebecca gave to me last summer. I need to find it”. He pleaded, his eyes filled with tears, sobs escaping his mouth. “But we don't have time. We need to go to Aunt Valerie's place now. What's so special about your spiderman anyways? I can get you another one at the mall on her way out, Scott. “No mom. I don't want another one. I want my spiderman. I want Carl back.”

There were some chuckles around the room. The man who could beat Danny Trejo at a Danny Trejo lookalike contest, was terrified of spiders. As a prospect, he had screamed the walls down when he spotted one. Naturally, he was named Spider. “Anybody else?” “I know someone.” Dino said as he looked over at Werewolf. The older man nodded slightly.

I’ll have enough money to live three lifetimes without having to work, so I will use all of my resources to find out the truth. “Are you ready, lass?”, Spider asks, and I nod my head. He has become a dear friend this last few days, and I wouldn’t be able to do this without him. But his service needs to end; his time protecting me is coming to an end. I had the lawyer draw papers for the divorce, making sure that the deal that bound us together stayed active.

Until I have time to do it. I wanted to do things that would make me happy. I don't want to die with regrets. I cleared my throat and stood up from the gutter. Then I looked at the man beside me. I gave him a small smile. "Thanks for the talk…spiderman." He stood up. Then I heard him chuckle. He sounded amused. "You're welcome. And don't call me Spiderman." I pursed my lips. "You're wearing a Spiderman suit."

" Pete, let's go." " Let me finish the movie." He said half sleepy I chuckled and grabbed his hand, " Come on." He was forced to open his eyes, " Oh God. You can't let me sleep peacefully."
