Aurelia's point of view I didn’t even make it halfway through the journal before my body betrayed me. The inscriptions had only just begun to bleed across the once-blank pages when a sudden wave of dizziness slammed into me. My head throbbed like a war drum, the kind that promised death at dawn. The blood I had spilled, it wasn’t much, just a droplet but the book had drunk it greedily, and now it was sucking the strength straight out of me.

I rolled my eyes and looked away, my eyes landing on the empty chair in our midst. Spencer . “Where’s Spencer?” I blurted, drawing everyone’s attention to his seat. The door burst open that instant, taking everyone’s attention away from the table. It was Spencer, standing at the door with his cloth covered in blood. His shirt was torn, and I could see his intestine fighting its way out. “Hel…help…” he breathed before falling to the ground. ******

I smelled of blood, and breathed blood. My vision was covered in darkness but the little conscious thought strolled behind. “Hurry, she's bleeding…” That voice again. I feel strange hands taking me off, placing me on a soft mattress, pulling my blood drenched clothes and performing acts of cleaning, plus different foreign things I couldn’t make them to be and as time flew my consciousness was totally knocked off.

My blurred vision was making me heave so I close my eyes and crawl in the direction I think it is. I feel the cold tile floor of the bathroom on my hands and flop forwards embracing it's coolness on my body. My throat started to burn again like she was clawing at me from the inside tearing her way up. I grit my teeth and grip onto the bath tub pulling myself up. I fall into the tub in a huge splash sending water everywhere. I drink at the blood stained water greedily trying to soothe my thirst. The cold water does little to soothe the burning like earlier and my breathing picks up as I pant through my mouth.

Ethan suddenly spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. The bright red blood splattered on the cold, smooth floor in front of him, shocking to see against the pale tiles. Droplets scattered, spreading outward in a crimson pool. As if all his bones and strength had been drained away, he collapsed completely forward. His forehead pressed heavily against the ground, his body curling in on itself. Tears mixed with blood from the corner of his mouth, messily covering his face. Red and clear drops mingled together, dripping onto the floor.

“They were words written in this book before, but they disappeared. It is said that it is only your blood that can make the words appear again. I want you to let your blood make it appear" "Alright. Hold the book firmly with your two hands”. I did as Jade instructed, I held the book with my two hands. I watched her bleed herself. Her nails elongated and she came forward, she stretched her two hands to get the book, immediately her hands touched the book, her nails dug into my flesh and I felt dizzy at once, before I could register anything that was happening I passed out.

The blood, the snake tattoo, the chain tattoo and Drew's menacing face and dark eyes played like a movie in my mind in fast flashes. It wasn't until I felt a hot liquid running down my shaking legs that I knew I had been holding my bladder.
