Spiraling Down

Spiraling Down

Her parents cut off her allowance to crush her confidence. I gave up a foreign scholarship to stay with her and help her build her dream. Every night after she fell asleep, I stayed up late writing business plans and finding resources. For three years, I pushed myself to the limit, believing that once the company went public, our lives would improve. Without complaining, I let her take all the credit while I worked tirelessly in the shadows.

Hypno Halloween

Hypno Halloween

Once the markings had filled up both pages, the book began to spin after shutting itself up, much to everyone’s surprise. It spinner for like ten seconds then stopped and slid towards Jake, remaining stationary in front of him. “Please, tell me you all saw that!” Jake started, his eyes fixated on the book. “For the millionth time, Matt, it wasn't a prank!” Jake was saying after they’d left the library. “I can't say I didn't see a book write itself...” Gabriel shrugged. “Who did you say gave it to you again?” Matt asked. “I told you, at the Pumpkin Park on Saturday by some creepy guy in a hood!”

Sparks Fly

Sparks Fly

She asked, coming to sit on the opposite sofa. "I'm just worried about Sofia," she exhaled ruefully. "What did she want to talk about?" "The Spark." "Yeah, it's starting tomorrow, I know," she said, leaning forward. "No, it's not." "Yes, it is, haven't you seen..." Her voice trailed off, as she watched Tanya's face. Alicia gasped, "Don't tell me..." Tanya sighed, "I need to draft some documents, I'll turn off the lights don't worry."

Passionate Spite

Passionate Spite

I am grateful for the respite, as no one seems to be paying attention to me. I pull my cell phone out of my bag and open the Kindle app. It's still a while before class starts, so I want to read a chapter first. I duck my head and look at my phone as I devour the words on the screen. I started a book last night , and by all the saints, I think this book is going to tear me apart by the end. The main character goes through so much and then the supposed hero makes her suffer too. I must have cried about a million times, especially when I got to the part of the book about her past. I haven't even finished it yet and I feel like I already have a book hangover.

he says as we step up to swing seat. I crawl in, seeing Xander saying something to the attendant who nods before he gets in. The attendant locks the bar across our seat and then we’re moving. It’s slow at first as the lower part of the Ferris wheel unloads and reloads passengers, but with every new passenger, we get higher and higher. Finally, the Ferris wheel begins spinning slowly. I snuggle against Xander, feeling his warmth as the cool night air blows against us and we watch the lights of the city far beneath us.

Another beautiful and wonderful story in the Guardians series. I LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOVE that at least Xander (on the top in this race) and Rich are taking after their parents in regard to having so many pups, lol…, Xander was one of my favourites together with Cayd!!
