Chapter 14 Adolfa’s POV This time, my body quivered as the spirit vanished. I stood alone in the pitch-black silence, the bitter wind scraping across my face. My fingers tightened around the edges of my cloak as I attempted to comprehend what had just occurred. Why is my destiny always entwined with spirits? The first spirit startled me, yet here I stood again, speaking to another—one more formidable and vast than the last. Was it real? Had I truly encountered another spirit from the otherworld once again?

Alphas's Secret Baby

Alphas's Secret Baby

One after another, they surged through us, seeking what had been promised. The moment the waves struck the witch’s spirit, a scream of pure agony tore through the air. The winds grew even fiercer, swirling violently around her. Elowen spoke louder, still in that unknown tongue, and the winds obeyed her commands. They reversed course, rushing back into the book and dragging the spirit with them. “NO!!!!” she howled as her essence fused with the pages. Elowen slammed the book shut, pouring even more intensity into her words. Slowly the cover began to transform, the gold fading and giving way to a deep, dark green.

The Alpha's Forgotten Luna

The Alpha's Forgotten Luna

Dust covered most of its surface, and the pages looked ancient. "This came from Elder Rowan's private collection." I frowned. "And?" Jackson carefully opened the book. Several pages had been marked, highlighted, and referenced. His finger stopped on one specific passage. "You need to read this." I pulled the journal closer. The handwriting was difficult to decipher, faded badly by age. Yet one sentence immediately stood out. My blood ran cold. Beside me, Sienna read it too and froze. The passage described spirit-bound wolves. Rare wolves capable of existing partially between the physical and spiritual worlds. Wolves capable of sensing things others couldn't. Seeing things others couldn't. Co

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Liam walked the streets of Evergreen Grove with Olivia. The evening was beautiful and surprisingly busy. People walk by them, taking little to no notice of them. However, he could see they weren’t all living. Several clearly dead people walked by them. One or two even acknowledge their presence. The bookshop was still owned by a witch, who could see the dead and communicate with them. Her cat was interesting. Liam could see that it wasn’t a normal animal. It’s spirit was far too complex for a common animal. Then there was the wolf, or man. It was a creature with two forms. But it was cursed. But there in the bookshop now sat several ancestors of the witch, many attempting to have her banish

Hello, so I just finish the 1st chapter, honestly, I think you introduced too many characters in the first chapter, why don't you focus on the MC and the husband and wife first. You can introduce the other staffs later when they play a role in the chapter. Good luck!

I love the way you tell us about all the different people that are going to be in the book. I like how each chapter is about one set of characters and how they are part of the whole tapestry of the story. Love that there's a Boggart in your book, they really are very mischievous but don't mean harm.

 A Witch's Nightmare - Dream Trilogy Book 1

A Witch's Nightmare - Dream Trilogy Book 1

After the boys had left my room, I went through my bag and pulled out my favorite book, Night Flame, by Catherine Hart. I sat back in my chair by the window, prepared to spend the rest of the afternoon reading when a shiver ran down my spine. I jumped out of my seat and spun around to see a pair of yellow eyes glowing in the corner of the room. As those eyes drew closer to me, I realized that it was Simon, the fae that came to warn me the other day.

THE ARCHIVISTS PAWN: REBIRTH OF THE BURIED QUEEN

THE ARCHIVISTS PAWN: REBIRTH OF THE BURIED QUEEN

I threw the Iron-Bound Book into the white flames. The reaction was instantaneous. A pillar of pure, blinding white light erupted from the basin, hitting the violet vortex above. The Grey-Walkers didn't just dissolve; they were incinerated, their parchment bodies turning into white butterflies of ash that filled the air. I felt the "Sight" begin to fade. The silver threads in my mind were snapping one by one as the records of my world's debts were burned into nothingness. The King, released from the Grey-Walkers' hold, stumbled back. "The book... my secret..."

Spirits of the Night

Spirits of the Night

“What are you saying, Alex?” He closed his eyes for a second, as if searching for the best way to explain it without frightening us even more. “Look, all of this sounds strange, but it’s the truth. I… belong to a wolf pack, and some of us have the duty to protect those who possess this kind of knowledge. This book has been missing for a long time, and for it to appear now, in your hands, is… complicated, Scarlett.” I felt a knot form in my stomach. Everything I had considered normal until now seemed to be falling apart.
