The Beta's Daughter

The Beta's Daughter

she added, with a shrug, “I wanted to be a little dramatic.” I laughed, and it felt good to do so finally. I felt as though I’d been wound tighter and tighter, and laughing released some of the tension, just a little; just enough that I could breathe again. Wolves were often spiritual creatures, linked as intrinsically as we were to the folklores and rituals of our ancestors, passed down from the Spirit Warriors of old. It seemed, however, as though the Amethyst Sun pack took this to a new extreme, and I found myself interested; I was curious as to how much stock one could put into practices such as tea leaf reading.

Escaping The World: Lost in Book (book 1)

Escaping The World: Lost in Book (book 1)

Being caught as a rouge, alone, on pack territory signs your death certificate because the warriors kill first and ask questions later. Kimmy paces up and down the room while Nick and I continue watching cartoons. Kimmy's mate is one of the lead warriors so I understand her anxiety. I feel it about Aidan too. I'm very worried about him but I push it aside because my worry doesn't help anything. Instead I stand to make Kimmy a cup of tea. She smiles in thanks when I hand her the mug.

Spirit Walker

Spirit Walker

He glanced up towards the man before his wife. “The reason it’s not a Holy War is that we don’t have the spear that killed Jesus. Nor do we have the chalice and we’re not battling in the Holy City.” He felt Ava’s hand laced into one of his, allowing him to explain further. “A Spirit War is what we’re in the middle of, fighting for the souls of this world.” He glanced around the room. “But it seems that he wants to have a war here in Spokane.”

Creatures Of Aegis

Creatures Of Aegis

I opened the book and began to read, hoping to find some answers. As I read, I discovered that I was not just a ordinary high school student. I was a descendant of a long line of spirit warriors, tasked with keeping the balance between the worlds. I felt a surge of pride and purpose. I was ready to face whatever lay ahead, knowing that I had a crucial role to play in the battle between the living and the dead. But as I delved deeper into the book, I realized that the journey ahead would be far more difficult than I had imagined. The spirits of the dead were growing stronger by the day, and the living were in grave danger.

And never in their history have the spirits interfered so obviously in their affairs. Assassinations, carried out by shamans, on their own people. And now they their spiritual leader was ordering them about, as if they were children. But no one dared to express those thoughts aloud. After a while, the Swer war chief reluctantly said: “I still have trouble understanding all of this. Should we really take up arms against our own people? That's not our way. I respect the high shaman and I respect the spirits, but this ... "

The Nine-tailed Wolf

The Nine-tailed Wolf

“I have to do something fast.” “Save him,” my wolf, serene, spoke. “How?” “Heal him. Do it fast,” she urged, her voice impatient and sharp with urgency. I remembered reading in that book from the abandoned library that Fox Spirits could heal. It was their special trait. Immediately, I placed my hands on Lucas, my eyes shining with determination. I could feel a surge of energy leaving me rapidly. Color restored on his face, his breathing becoming more stable. Even though I felt like my soul was leaving my body, I didn’t stop. Instead, I held him tighter. “Pheobe, stop!. You’ll die at this rate,” my wolf roared, but I ignored her. I kept going. Then John pulled me away and I collapsed, my cons

Fangs of Fate

Fangs of Fate

The air crackled with the energy of accumulated knowledge, and the scent of aging parchment filled their senses. Row upon row of ancient tomes lined the shelves, their spines bearing the weight of forgotten stories. As the pack members carefully selected books, the whispers of the past danced in their ears, beckoning them to discover the truths hidden within. Rachel immersed herself in a book that revealed the ancient migration patterns of creatures long gone, tears of both joy and sorrow streaming down her face. She felt connected to the spirits of those who came before, their journeys echoing through her own soul. Sarah found a volume that chronicled the lost art of communication with the

Luna's Awakening

Luna's Awakening

How could I possibly beat him now, when he had the power of many, many werewolves helping him? But then, I noticed it – a soft pull on my thoughts. I looked around and saw that not all the spirits were being drawn to Ryder. Many of them were reaching out to me, offering their strength willingly. Understanding dawned on me. This was the last battlefield, where the destiny of all werewolves — from the past, the present, and the future — would be determined. And I wasn't fighting by myself. With a silent prayer of thanks, I opened myself to the spirits, feeling their power flow into me. It was different from Ryder's stolen energy – this was warm, comforting, filled with the wisdom and love of c

Hybrid Warrior - A Survivor's Story

Hybrid Warrior - A Survivor's Story

The water in a nearby fountain swirled in a spiral, tugging toward me, subtle, almost imperceptible. Why spread fear like that? I live under your roof. Maybe it was time to start thinking about going back to Mom’s and preparing to step out on my own after graduation. The prophecy, I learned, was ancient, older than most packs. It spoke of a white wolf, born of Alpha blood but touched by something older, destined to either unite the supernatural world - or plunge it into chaos. The deciding factor? The strength - or corruption - of her soul.
