He had more drinks than he intended to and th consequences came in form of a splitting headache. He recalled last night's events. His lips thinned and he tried to pull himself together. “I don't need you. You weren't worth it at all. Am...glad you walked out of my life.” He gritted and slurred to no one but himself. Wanting to get up from the stool and it seemed his head was going to fall off.

I turned back and went inside, picking up my phone from the nightstand to dial a number. “Is it done?” The other person on the other side of the call confirmed that it was done. I managed to keep my composure and smile as I made my way back to the laptop, but as I did so, I became increasingly aware of the sensation that the world was spinning in front of my eyes. This caused me to trip over my own feet. Fuck!

I said curiously. "Well, I don’t know but I am pretty sure that those two devils are up to no good". Liam replied. "So, what’s the second step, since our first one was a quick success, I suppose that we are going to proceed towards our second step". I asked. "Yes, we are going to. Listen closely, if we make a mistake on this step, trust me our plan will be a failure." I nodded and listened closely. "So, the second step is…."

My tone was dry and all I wanted right now was water or at least something to quench the thirst. A face appeared above mine. "Emery," he said my name like he was trying to get my full attention. "This is your choice." His eyes which were gold, glittered at me like stars from a night sky. "To have a second shot at life only in a different point of view." I didn't need to be asked twice. In a stable but weak voice I replied, "Yes."

He is a good man and I should not react to anything soon. “Ok, I will get ready!” I told him, getting in the restroom. He is behaving like a split personality person, all lovey-dovey at a moment and like a beast the next moment. He is making it hard for me to understand him. Maybe he is tired after the trip or the trip didn't turn out to be fruitful.

But as soon as that sound comes up, it will sink back behind the silence like never before.
