I opened to a blank page and wrote. Something happened in the woods today. I don’t know what to call it. I felt something move through me. Not like emotion. Not like adrenaline. Something real. Physical. Bigger than me. It didn’t feel evil. It didn’t feel good either. It felt… ancient. I stared at the words for a long time. Then I wrote: I’m scared. And I’m not sure I want anyone to know. Not yet. I didn’t call anyone. Not Sienna. Not Noah. What would I even say?

‎I let out a deep breath, clenched onto my throbbing chest and stepped forward. ‎ ‎Every step came with a icy chill. ‎The creepy cracking sound of rusty doors echoing from every angle. ‎Then came the wolf howls, and the chattering sound of owls. ‎I swallowed hard, my heart threatening to leap out of my chest. ‎This place was scary, even for a horror writer like myself. ‎I mean, I was certain it was some kind of a prank, but still my limbs trembled like spaghetti. ‎“Hello..." I called out, my voice trembling. “Is anyone there?"

I don’t want that to happen to me, and I certainly don’t want that for her. “Okay, man! Chill out! You don’t have to get all growly at me…I was just wondering.” Spooky spits out glancing at me. I must have been growling but I don’t remember doing so. He pauses, then adds “I still think there is more to it, but I’ll shut up.” Good, because I don’t want to have to kill one of my 2 best friends because he won’t stop talking about a little witch. I sigh and we continue on in silence.

He did invite me out at night to a graveyard after all… I pressed myself close to his side as we slowly walked along the dark path in the haunted house. Looking around, I could tell that the decorations were made to portray a vampire theme. There were fake blood, coffins, skeletons and other haunting items scattered all around. Now and then, there would be a shrilled high-pitch scream in the distant and the howling of wolves. While Hayden seemed to enjoy looking around, I spent the time to mentally prepare myself for when the ghost would come out and scare us.

Piper nudged her as she flinched. "Come on girl! What is the matter?" Piper inquired as Willow gazed back at her with bulged eyes. (Should I tell her?) She thought. "Hey! Are you okay?' She asked again as Willow decided to spill. "Emm, do you by any chance, feel that this place seemed creepy?' " what are you talking about?" Piper giggled. "It is Halloween, it should be creepy of course" she rubbed her shoulders. (Of course, she would not understand me) she thought.

“I believe you Polly,everything you said about this place is true…its haunted!At first I only felt it,but now… I have seen this evil with my own two eyes!” “Oh God!”Polly gasped.She wasn’t crazy after all.The last five months had been nothing but sheer torture.Even Royce thought she just had a fanciful imagination,but now her own sister had become privy to the manor's supernatural aura. What was this darkness clouding her marital home?What did it want? “I was getting dressed,”Ginny continued.”All of a sudden I felt the room grow cold.I thought I must have left the window open,but when I checked it was closed.The cold seemed to come from everywhere.”

Epilogue: Now that I have written several of these stories, I find that my old ghosts have started to haunt my dreams yet again. It is amazing that once things are written down, they begin to take on a life of their own. Just remember, if you don’t want things to go bump in the night, don’t tell anyone else about them.

Xavier joked. "According to my grandfather, a month after the boy's death, students started missing. They were all found dead in the woods a week or two after. They dubbed the serial killer as Sunnyville Reaper. And, from what my grandfather told me, your parents are one of those kids who bullied him." The student said before leaving. Even Xavier who always care less about anything around him fell silent. He could never imagine that his mother would be involved in something so dark like that.

A faint, unearthly mist creeps across the ground, like skeletal fingers reaching out to snatch the living, as if death itself was reclaiming the land. The trees, once green and vibrant, now stand as skeletal sentinels, their branches like bony fingers reaching towards the sky. The wind whispers an unsettling melody, a haunting dirge that seems to warn of impending doom. In this ominous hour, the shadows come alive, twisting and writhing like living darkness. The very fabric of reality seems to be unraveling, and the whispers of the unknown are a chilling reminder that something ancient and evil lurks just beyond the edge of perception.

“I swear something touched me. Right here. Right on the butt.” Michael, sounding too tired for this, says, “That was me pulling you forward before you walked into a spiderweb.” “I’d rather walk into a spiderweb than stay one more minute in this haunted place,” Lenny whines, practically skipping down two steps at a time. “That book screamed at me.” “It didn’t scream,” Sonia calls from the middle of the group. “It whispered.” “Even worse!” Lenny shrieks like the drama student he never got to be.
