Today was October 31st in the human world, Halloween night. That evening, kids and young people in town wore all kinds of strange costumes and paraded through the streets. They lit candles and made wishes. The whole street was packed shoulder to shoulder, loud and lively. It was Seraphina's first time in the human world since losing her memory, and everything felt new to her. But when she remembered she had a mission, she forced herself to rein in her curiosity, even though her eyes kept drifting toward the festivities.

He grunted. “Halloween,” I said just as the title popped onto the screen, followed by a burst of deafening music. “It’s a classic. There’s thirteen movies out now, but this one remains my favorite.” I leaned in and bit back a chuckle as he stiffened even further. “So far over sixteen men have played the role of Micheal Myers. Crazy, right? Oh, and it was originally titled The Babysitter Murders, but I think Halloween has a better ring to it.”

All the street lights were turned off, the only lights were coming from candles, torches, and the stars. People turned on minimum lights in their houses so the essence of Halloween can be captured throughout the whole town. It was a tradition that's been passed on from generation to generation. Bluebridge turned into a murderous ghost town for one night, and Charlene loved it so much.
