JACK I stood beside the police officer, my mind racing as he tapped on the screen, rewinding the footage. “There,” the officer muttered, pointing at the screen. I leaned in closer, watching as the figure appeared briefly on camera. Dressed in all black, the intruder moved swiftly, and just as we’d feared, his face was hidden behind a mask. The footage barely gave us anything to work with before the screen went black, leaving us staring at a blur of darkness.

After about ten to twenty minutes,they came out, then proceeded to slip into Paul's room. When they came out of Paul's room about thirty minutes later, two of them were limping. The bald officer paused the tape at that point, then turned to look at me questioningly. “Does any of these men ring any bells, Mr Adams?” I shook my head. They were dressed in ski masks, and walked with the swagger and confidence of people who had done the act before. One of them even turned to grin at the camera, as if he knew he wasn't going to be caught.

His dark hair was pulled back in some kind of lazy bun,like he just woke up from sleep and didn't care how he looked,how his hair tied behind his head made him look. "May I take this off?" His fingers brushed against the eye mask I wore. At first ,I was confident enough I wouldn't be left vulnerable like this. My eye mask was there to protect my identity. It was worn by every officer wherever we were ,in our uniforms and on a mission. I wasn't an officer for now and I wasn't in my uniform but I had it on and a gun in my hand. Well, I used to have a gun in my hand. "No, let me go."

The police officer, a stoic figure with weary eyes, nodded, allowing us to enter the room. The air inside was cold, the fluorescent lights casting a harsh glare on the screens. As the staff member pressed play, a wave of nausea washed over me, leaving me trembling. The grainy footage flickered to life, showing Marco, my precious boy, oblivious to the danger lurking nearby. A woman, her face obscured by a ball cap and a black mask, approached him. Her movements were slow and deliberate, her voice a hushed whisper that I couldn't decipher. She spoke to Marco, her words lost in the static of the video, before offering him a handful of toys.

The group leader, still in a state of high alert, nodded, acknowledging the urgency in the scarred man's tone. As he reached for the mouse, intending to access the security footage, a sudden tension seized the room. The group leader, sensing a presence, turned around slowly. There, standing in the confined space, was a figure in a waiter's dress, face obscured by a white mask. The group leader's eyes widened with shock and realization.

The two squatted down and, under Amanda's direction, slowly felt for the edges starting from the man's neck. It was a very close-fitting silicone mask, as thin as a cicada's wing. It was completely undetectable unless you looked closely. And they had made it very exaggeratedly, hiding the entire face under the clothes, both top and bottom. Aside from being a little unnaturally white, the face was so realistic that no one suspected anything. But you could still see places where the color was different from his real skin. The two police officers rubbed it with their hands and, sure enough, they rubbed up a thin layer of something.

The police officer smirked, "I don't have a wife, you jackass." "Oh right, it was your mom." Lorenzo said, laughing out loud. The police officer growled. "Give me the injection now!" He yelled at the police officer, not noticing that it's Angelo. Angelo was wearing his disguise. Glasses and a fake moustache. Angelo handed the injection to the police officer and nodded towards Lorenzo, reassuring him that it won't kill him. The police officer smirked as he sunk the needle into Lorenzo's neck, letting, what he thought, the poisonous liquid run through his veins. "Done." He said, smirking.

Ava's stomach turned. "Then what am I?" Marcus smiled. "The bridge." --- A loud metallic sound echoed through the corridor. CLANG. Everyone turned. One of the security doors opened. A man stepped out. He was dressed in black. His face was hidden beneath a mask. But there was something familiar about the way he walked. Ava immediately raised her weapon. "Who are you?" The man stopped. Marcus smiled. "You're early." The masked man looked at him. "You said she would be alone."

Steve raised one hand, and the officers stopped. Everyone listened. For several seconds, there was nothing but the distant hum of a patrol vehicle outside. Then came a faint movement. An officer turned toward the sound. “Who’s there?” No answer. He took another cautious step. A figure suddenly emerged from the darkness. The man wore black clothes and gloves, with a dark mask covering his face. A handgun was already raised in his right hand. BANG. The officer nearest him was thrown backward. “OFFICER DOWN!” The masked man immediately turned and ran.

I see, maybe that’s also why Greg wants her, she looks hot! She looks like she is having a fight with the man before her. He took off his mask immediately, that’s Liam, one of Zach’s men. The doctor is also about to take hers off until a man walks past me, another did and yet another. “F*ck!” I cussed beneath my breath I tilt my head to take a look at them but they were no longer there.
