I stared at the ocean, entranced by the crashing waves against the shore.
Once we were done, the man returned to collect the plates, and we found ourselves standing by the railing. I adored the sensation of the wind against my face, tousling my hair in every direction. Hayden stood beside me, leaning against the railing, his gaze fixed on the vast sea.
"You're incredible, Hale," he began, and I turned my head to look at him.
"You're all I can think about. I constantly wonder what you're doing when you're not near me." My heart pounded in my chest as I listened to him, anxiety nibbling at my mind while he kept his eyes fixed on the ocean, illuminated by the moonlight.
