However, since she was alone anyway, Star hugged her notebook and began walking down the meadow toward the forest, eager to make one more drawing. Her family didn't have many scholars, much less botanists, so it wasn't surprising that they were always a little confused by her fascination with nature.

Star looked up at Aiden, who was holding her hand, and nodded vigorously. Her voice was filled with pride. “Yes, this is my daddy!” Her classmate gasped in admiration. “Star, your daddy’s so handsome!” She looked at Night and Aiden before whispering, “Night looks so much like your daddy!”

Zoey, nestled between her mother and father, looked up at the sky. "Look, Mommy, the stars are starting to come out. Do you think Grandpa is up there, looking at us?"
