I heard shuffling and then a minute later, there he was, all three feet of her, looking cute and adorable in the outfit I had laid out for her, except now, the jacket was worn the wrong way.
Giggling under my breath, I left the fruit bag and knelt in front of her to fix the mistake.
Only Samantha was trying really hard to hide something behind her back.
“What have you got there, darling?” I cooed. “Can I see?”
“It's a painting,” Sam whispered, suddenly shy.
My heart warmed. “Of me? Aww, darling, I would love to see it.”
Shaking her head so hard that the beads in her braids bounced, Sam smiled, displaying gaps in her teeth. “No. It's of Mr Andy!”
