"Huu...Panther: Red Star Convergence" General Siwa's words were like a magic spell, for the star on her right glove suddenly came alive. The star leapt off the surface of the glove and integrated into General Siwa's forehead. Like a well lit lamp it stood between her eyebrows and illuminated the face of the one it beheld. General Siwa's eyes assumed the crimson color of the star once it was established on her forehead, and her power grew by twofold! Cosplay Theme: The Dark Swordsman. "You look cool," Harper laughed. She was dressed as a Cyber-Valkyrie (silver armor, neon wings). It hid her real weapons perfectly. "Blend in, Sebastian. Everyone here is wearing a costume. If we dress like normal civilians, the facial recognition will flag us instantly. The algorithms ignore 'fictional characters'." Jack walked behind them. He refused to wear a costume. Instead, he was carrying a massive, life-sized plushie of a Pikachu-like creature. "It shields my heat signature," Jack grumbled, hugging the yellow monstrosity. "Don't ask."

Too bad, I had to waste it on this party. I numbly walked down the stairs and back down outside to the white Lamborghini truck that stood waiting. When I opened the door, Star was already in the backseat, on her phone. She wore a simple champagne-colored dress and heels as well, a designer Lucian had delivered to her a few months ago. Her hair cascaded all over her shoulders beautifully, in contrast to the dress. On seeing her, I forced a smile onto my face, to stop her from being too worried.

The skies tore like silk set ablaze. Vaelith’s true form towered above the battlefield now, no longer cloaked in illusion or shadow. She was cosmic, a being made of collapsed galaxies and forgotten prayers, her hair a veil of void, her voice a gravitational command. And yet, standing beneath her, Liora did not kneel. She burned.
