Some of them stopped to ask me questions concerning where to keep something or where to find the Luna. I answered their questions as much as I could and helped them move on to their duties while I headed upstairs to Lyra’s quarters. I know she will need my help with her dress and other things. The halls buzzed with activity as the entire pack prepared for the event. Tonight would be a celebration, a moment of unity and peace, and I was determined to play my part in making it perfect. I’ve lived hundreds of years, and it still takes my breath away.” “It sounds beautiful,” I said, almost smiling. “But what does that have to do with Kyante?”

Her fingers hesitated for a second before she tapped Blake’s name. The phone rang twice before a familiar voice—breathless and anxious—picked up. “Lydia?” Lydia let out a shaky breath. “Hey, Blake.” “Oh my goddess! I’ve been trying to reach you all day. I tried the mind-link at least ten times. I felt something—like something inside me was...cut off.” Lydia swallowed. “That’s because it was.” “What?” “I joined the Blue Moon Pack today,” Lydia said softly. “We had the mating ceremony. “That’s so weird, because-” Through grinding teeth, I blurt out, “girls usually get star tattoos,” my eyes shift past Lyra, “right Eden?” She stutters out her words, unsure of what to do, “yeah…oh definitely. I have a star tattoo,” she flashes them the inside of her wrist where there’s a star along with a music note and an apple core. It symbolizes our friendship. Obviously I’m the star, Lyra is the music note and Eden, well…the garden of Eden and the forbidden apple.

Starving, she gulped it down and then started on the bread, thankful for any source of food at this point. Once she was finished, she looked around the room. It was small. Dark. Dust laid a blanket over every surface and floated through the air. She slowly walked over to the small window, looking out at the sunny yard. She knew the weather was cold, she could feel the draft from the poorly sealed window. All Maia wanted was to be free. To feel the touch of grass on her toes and the sun on her face. Her father had thrown her in this attic when she was only 4 years old. More tears began forming as she imagined what that must feel like.

While the plant provides power for most of the state, it does not require that many employees to run it so the town remains small. Amaris threw off the plain white sheets and rolled out of the twin bed that lay nestled against the wall and in the corner of the room. When she was a child, Amaris would push the bed back against the wall every night so that she could lay at the foot of her bed and look out her window at the moon. There was nothing more beautiful than the sight of the full moon in all her glory.

I looked up at her captivated by her strangeness. "Who are you?" My voice sounded odd to my own ears. "I'm someone who see's great potential in you Noah." I stayed silent because that doesn't answer my fucking question. She giggled down at me as if my lack of response was amusing to her. "I must admit I never pegged you for the strong silent type." She flashed her teeth just enough to expose her extended canines. We had heard whispers of vampires over the years but none of us had ever actually seen one...until now.

“Maybe it’s a blank out” I rummaged my hand around on the wall trying to find the lights switch, finally my hand grasp it and I flick the lights on. Then I heard screams,“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!” I look around and wowed in admonishment. The scene before me is great., it’s just as if I walked into a planetarium, everywhere is sparkling. I see stars, well artificial stars, floating in the air. My pictures are used to form heart shape and floating around with the artificial stars.

Of course, she could not be too greedy and trouble Damian, since she knew he planned on getting her something. As she was browsing, her eyes quickly landed on a beautiful swan shaped necklace. Growing up in Russia she used to see the swan lake ballet performance and have loved it ever since. The necklace reminded her of her childhood and she planned on getting that one. All she had to do was to point at the box and the staff helped to take it out. “Would you like to try this on?” The staff asked. Lana nodded but before she could put it on for her.
