Marco’s POV The screen freezes for a fraction of a second before the image sharpens, and in that brief pause, I still believe I have time, still believe there is space for manoeuvre, still believe that this is just another twist in a game I have played my entire life and survived by instinct alone. Then the picture clears, and the lie I have been telling myself dies instantly.

His eyes were darting around, though they seemed to rest on the alarm system at the center's corner. "Prepare to leave," I ordered. My teammates started packing up our gear. Then, the moment we turned around, a shrill screech of the alarm pierced the silence.

‘Channel Six’ Murmur and whispers ensued. “Welcome to Channel Six. Doom awaits ahead” A low static voice piped out above us. The same voice as the woman from the news earlier. “More information regarding the game would be passed across to you shortly” The voice blared smoothly. Games? I was taken aback for a bit, my memory juggling, and then like a fever dream his words replayed in my head again, louder and more consuming. “I can give you a second chance, only if you play my games”

“Listen to me. This phase is isolation by design. If you treat it like a verdict on your place in that room, he gets a second win.” “I’m trying not to.” “Trying is fine. I’m here for the minutes where trying slips.” I reached for him without a speech and pressed my face into the front of his shirt. Miles held the back of my head, steady and unfancy, and for a while the only task was breathing through the fact of being left behind. The game started at 7:00.

I looked around and everyone fixed on their phones. After a few minutes the d******d was completed. " It's complete, Click on the start and verify your informations" Colin informed and the crowd nodded and fixed their eyes on their phones. Clicked on the start, information verified, the Game started. Showing on the big screen, " this is how it will be on your phones, you can Start playing the games now" Colin gestured to the crowd. Beep...beep... Everyone heard a sound, we all looked at the big screen to see the game App suddenly turned white, with words written on it. Application error accompanied with several beeps. Colin turned back to face the Screen.

I said, even though I didn’t have any money left. But I could sell the villa—it's mine. I heard a mocking laugh. And that was all. No one talked. The front screen lit again and a running red font appeared simultaneously with the sound from earlier: [Congratulations! You have been selected for the Survival Game. Make sure you entertain your audience to get extra hearts.] A chill ran down my spine. Adrenaline peaked to its climax and my body trembled. “Extra what?” I snapped. But it seemed nobody cared to answer.

I kick off the comforter and roll over, feeling relief from the ceiling fan above us, and close my eyes again. Quinn rolls over, hand landing on my chest. “Archer?” she grumbles. “Are you awake?” “Kind of,” I say, slitting my eyes open. “Are you?” “No.” Silently laughing, I take her hand and rub circles in her palm until we both fall back asleep, not waking until one of the cats jumps onto the nightstand and knocks Quinn’s water bottle over. I startle awake, and Quinn feebly swats at Luna. This must happen often.

there was nothing that could shock them at this point. “I just got off the call with John. He says Ms. Hemsworth’s friends have also disappeared and is also stuck like me he can’t locate them” Before Silas could say anything, something caught his eyes. It was the sticky note that Nicole left on the fridge door. He pulled it off from the fridge the read it. It was written in capital letters it was a s if she was making sure that whoever reads it sees what’s written clearly. ‘NOW THE FIGHT BEGINS MAY THE BEST BITCH WIN’

Iris actually throws up, realizing Joey and her stepmother are having sex. “I know, disgusting,” The woman holds Iris’s black hair back and rubs Iris’s back. “Why? Why is this happening?” Iris asks again, screaming and choking on tears. “It’s a little complicated. I’ll tell you what I can. You get three chances to make it right. I am sorry to say I agreed to a game with the god of the Sea. He says his creations are stronger than mine. Daria has already been re-born once. If she fails twice more, I win. So, you get to go back,” the lady tells Iris. “You get three chances. If you can’t defeat Daria and Ingrid, then I lose, and you stay dead.”

“Let’s finish the game.” “He better not start anything,” Declan muttered as we all moved back to our positions. “He won’t,” I cut in quickly. Jackson raised an eyebrow. “How do you know that?” “He just won’t, okay?” I insisted Or at least I hoped so. Jackson didn’t look convinced, but he dropped it. The game resumed, loud and chaotic, but my focus wasn’t really there anymore. Every serve, every laugh, every shout blurred at the edges. Because even when I wasn’t looking at him—I could feel him.
