I wish I could say all those things and actually mean them. Taking a deep breath to calm myself, I continued, "I don't know how you expect me to handle this, but please, keep Bri away from me. I'm not her father so she can’t get too attached to me. After tonight, this would never happen again." And with that, I turned and walked out of the room.

I put both hands on my head, not to be dramatic, but I try to remember, but my head won't let me. "I wanted to respect your life, but after yesterday, I'm telling you to stop. You can't drink if you're not tolerant, if you're not with someone who can take care of you, and if you leave and don't come back, I want my son to stay with his father," I feel a huge knot in my throat, I'm shocked by everything he's saying. Now he wants to take my son away from me! "You're insane if you think I'll let you take my son away, you're crazy!"

There were nods here and there, and I knew it was time to strike after giving them a justification for what I was going to say next. “Which is why I want to keep my son as far away from the people who have hurt me and him as possible. From this moment on, I will no longer be associating myself with the witches or have any affiliations with them.”

You shouldn't be doing this! I quickly draw back and wipe my lips in disgust. I slap him so hard on the cheek that it leaves a sound. He has this sated look on his face and a small smile curved on his lips. "Stay the fuck away from me and my son!" As I stomp away, I hear an engine roar back to life. He waves me as he speeds away in his car. "That will be impossible baby!" ÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷

I moved further away from the man who had unexpectedly entered our lives again, and my son extended a tiny gesture of goodwill that left questions hanging in the air. God, please, don't let him come into my life again.

“Stay away from my son,” Rose suddenly just said, not giving me a chance to say what I wanted to. I was trying to understand where she was coming from because it sounded really off. “What do you mean I should stay away from your son? What does your son, and I, have to do with each other? “Your kids are starting to bully my son again in school, and he has reported them to me a number of times,” Rose shot back, stepping closer. “Tell them also to stay away from my precious boy.”

She spat. And now I was intrigued enough to give a reply. “Your son?” I laughed. “What could I possibly have with him? Or did he tell you that I bother him, huh, madam Becca?” I replied, a hint of mockery lacing my tone. “I don’t need to be told. I know you’re still hanging around my son. I’m warning you to stay away from him.” I laughed. “Wow, there must be trouble in paradise for the beautiful couple then. It’s not my fault your son is still hung up on having me even after I discarded them.”

I said quietly. For a moment, he simply looked at me. His expression did not change. His stare was sharp and heavy, almost as if he was trying to read something behind my face. Then he spoke. “It’s because of you that my son was hurt.” The words hit me like a slap. My body froze instantly. For a moment I could not even find the right response. Guilt rushed through my chest. “I—” But before I could say anything, the man continued speaking. “You should stay away from Stefan,” he said coldly. “If you want to avoid scenes like this happening again.”

So she hung her head low. "Pardon my impudence, I will stay away from them but will they stay away from me?" Lauren's voice was low and she was afraid of his rage too. "You don't have to bother yourself for that matter. I will take care of it. Just stick to your promise that you will stay within your limits. I will handle this matter for this time. If I saw you going near them unnecessarily then you would see the worse side of me." Shiver ran through Lauren's body hearing his dangerous warning. She was well aware of his capabilities. She knew he could do anything to her only son. So it's better to stay away from that forbidden fruit that had taken her heart away from her at first glance.
