I scream as loud as I could which was all the men behind me had to hear, they all begin to swarm the vampires which had tired out slightly. The only sounds which could be heard were the screams and slashes from the vampires which were being slain as they attempted to climb the hill. I reach my hand over to Thomas who takes it in his mouth, not hard enough to hurt though who takes off running with me in the air. He bolts passed all of the vampires until we spot the King, attempting to fight his way through all of the wolves who were annihilating his entire army. Thomas soon throws me to land on my feet right in front of the King, who looked beyond shocked to see me stood there.

Peter A jolt of shock and disbelief surged through me as I processed Vasil's words. Stolen? When? How? "Stolen?" I repeated, my voice edged with frustration and desperation. "What do you know about the theft?" Vasil sighed heavily, his expression revealing his own disappointment. "It was taken just a few days ago... Right around the time you went into a coma. The theft was executed with an alarming level of sophistication. The museum's security was bypassed entirely. They're working on recovering the surveillance footage."

Her jaw is clenched and there is dark blood around her lips, as if she got a bite out of her assailant. I pull her mouth open where a piece of paper is shoved in her mouth. It is wet and bloody but the words on the paper are fairly visible. I pull it out and my heart is beating so hard my rib cage is rattling. Tora is carefully watching my every move, almost in question as to how I would be able to know something was in her mouth. I open the paper and the words on the paper feel like a warning before I ever even read them.. "Stolen stars are replaced with old souls. Replace the star and the soul stealing ceases... keep the star... well, you'll continue to see what happens."

’ I took a bite of my third croissant. Ralph wiped the corner of my mouth with his thumb and ate the crumbs from there, all the while grinning from head to toe. ‘I’m not kidding, Ralph. I thought perhaps it was not money. So I went to check the assets. Nothing was missing.’ ‘You mean the Lux actually keeps records of every transaction since they first started?’ Ralph looked sceptical. And I nodded furiously. ‘We don’t joke around with numbers and dollars.’ ‘Jesus….’ Ralph took a sip of his coffee. ‘If we didn’t steal anything, then why can’t we prove it? Why were we exiled?’

After she died, even a cemetery application was delayed because her records had already been stolen by you." Henry's shoulders trembled violently. From downstairs, sirens began to rise, one after another, growing closer.

To argue. To demand. But then she heard the word, Collateral. Her body went cold. Removed what was not yours to remove. Return what belongs to me. Belongs. Her stomach twisted. Belongs? The door was slightly ajar. She hadn’t realized. She hadn’t knocked. She heard Dominic’s voice next. “She is not negotiable.” Her breath caught. Negotiable? Negotiable to who? What was this? Debt ownership. Leverage. Location leak.

Blood flowed profusely from his broken nose which was broken. As soon as Stone released his hold, the ponytail man immediately fell to the ground groaning in pain. Stone stomped his boot into the side of the man's face while pulling the knife out. "Motherfucking pendejo," Stone swore in a mixed language as he reached into the man's mouth and pulled the man's mouth and pulled the man's tongue out. With his hand clamping the man's tongue tightly, Stone runs his sharp dagger across his tongue and cuts it before the man realizes what is happening.

I look away as Cesar pours molten silver down Cordell's screaming mouth, then using his khopesh to cut out his tongue. He holds the bloody, silver-covered tongue high up into the air as Cordell's lifeless body plummets into the earth. "Tsoro ni! Ku bi ni!
