I didn’t know what it was, but pure fury shone from his eyes. He gave Vic all the attention I would a fly, buzzing annoyingly by my face, turning his back on him to storm toward me. I scrambled for the door, wrenching it open. A tattoo beat in my veins to escape this unhinged, inhuman monster that was fixated on me. “Aria, don’t make me chase you,” Stone called. “You won’t like it when I catch you and have lost patience.”
