"I am leaving tomorrow for an emergency business trip. So, I am pulling out of whatever game they paired us with." She stated, giving Brandon a condescending gaze that got me shaking my head while my gaze flickered to Kristen. Mason swallows hard, stammering, “Brielle—she was… she was just a mistake. A weak moment.” “I didn’t know about the kids,” he blurts, desperate now. No response. Just the quiet hum of judgment settling like smoke in the air. Finally, he points behind him, voice shaking with indignation. “Kristen—Kristen’s obsessed with me. She leans against the column, arms folded, a faint, satisfied smirk playing on her lips.

The crowd surrounded Madeleine and Kristian, all of them waiting for an answer.
