My mind whispered caution, and my heart drowned out the noise, eager to embrace the thrill of the unknown. Rome was outgoing, loved being the center of attention, and was the life of the party—qualities that could be both a blessing and a curse. Sometimes, I wondered if I could truly match his energy; could I ever really shine in his dazzling light? But as the saying goes, opposites attract. He was the "yin to my yang," and our adventure together kicked off from day one, sweeping me into an exhilarating whirlwind romance. When we set the date for our wedding, Rome tells me, "Hailey, I just want to ensure you have everything you've ever dreamed of for our wedding. It's your special day."

My fingers hover over the keyboard for a moment before I start typing the title. Looking for one of the following. My hands are sweating, but I push through, hitting the content box and starting to type again. Author here! This is going to sound like some crazy-ass request, but I’m at a loss, and I don’t believe all criminals are evil—not entirely anyway. I pause, rereading the line. It sounds ridiculous. It is ridiculous. But I can’t stop now. I keep typing. So, here it is. I want to write a dark romance story. After many flops—not because of my writing, more like people just aren’t interested because my books aren’t different enough—I had another idea.

Love stories in literature usually narrate how two characters meet in a certain place for the first time which would lead to multiple encounters since destiny is real in the fictional universe. The romance either starts from the famous term “love at first sight” or from the multiple encounters that the characters have. A story will never be a story without a conflict as the romantic relationship between the characters would not be happy all the way from the beginning until the end—but that does not mean they would always end up in a tragic situation. My brain was just too confused at the moment I was at loss of words and did not even understand how I was to think, how did decide to what I wanted and most important, how to avoid him which he was starting to prove difficult for me to achieve. “I like to observe people who are in love a lot. I think I might even end up writing a romance novel. It’s just a sight to behold, a sight to watch and be happy because of how beautiful it is. You know, it feels like imagining something in the middle of hardship. Just like how authors make their characters get things they don’t have in real life. Since it’s the world they created, they can do whatever they want with it.

How would I be able to become independent on my own and leave that annoying prison I call a house away from the evil bitch and her mother. If I agree to be his lover I will only be just a meaningless hookup to him and am sure he won't have feelings for a girl like me. Who am I kidding... Fairly tale don't exist in real life just on TV and story books. What was I thinking he would be the rich ,handsome Prince charming to sweep me off my feet ,fall in love and leave happily ever after. I really need to discuss this with somebody ...not to make the wrong decision. Ha! Angela...why didn't I think of that.

Jeff unconsciously pulled a chair and sat in front of Deen. "Romance story." Deen's cheeks flushed, realizing that she was being stared at by a very handsome man, with light brown eyes and messy hair that looked very seductive. But then she hardened her heart. The more handsome a man is, the more dangerous he is, she muttered to herself. “Romance? And it looks like you are running out of ideas? " How does this man know? Deen shrugged, "The main characters in my story hate each other, and I feel a strong urge to leave it like that."

"Emma, your surprise is going to make tomorrow the most perfect wedding anyone could ever have." Finally feeling sleepy, I let Mommy tuck me into bed with extra dolphin stuffed animals and the promise that tomorrow will be magical in every possible way. "Mommy, will you tell me one more story about Romano family love before I fall asleep?" "What kind of story?" "Tell me the story about how you and Daddy learned that choosing each other every day is more important than just feeling love feelings."

I shouldn’t have come to work today. If it were up to me, I’d still be curled up in bed, lying in frustration. But here I was, slumped lazily behind my desk, forcing myself to look busy. Forcing myself to work. I flipped through a stack of assignments, from the freshmen literature class, anything to distract myself from the restless ache burning between my thighs. That was when I saw it. Noah’s paper. The instructions I had given were simple: write a short romance story of your choice. Most students had submitted predictable storylines,—sweet shy crushes, innocent first kisses. But Noah’s title stopped me cold.

In fact it was getting pretty obvious that I could do more than spank it to her, she was giving some pretty clear signals. As I sat up and clicked save on my latest Miss Ross driven story it occurred to me that I probably should get something going with Kim and give up on my stupid fantasies. I said softly, “how you can write multiple romances based on a single topic.” “Hm,” Rome murmured. “For example,” I continued, my thoughts flowing more freely now, “two people might meet at the same place. A cafe. A workplace. A school. But the way they fall in love will never be identical.” Rome leaned slightly closer to the railing beside me. “Why is that?” he asked. “Because people are different,” I said. “Their wounds are different. Their fears are different. Their hopes are different.” He nodded slowly.
