Ten Strikes and You're Out

Ten Strikes and You're Out

It was starting to drizzle outside, soaking through my tuxedo jacket. People on the streets pointed and whispered, while Elton took a photo of me and posted it to his social media to mock me. The caption read. "Look at him slinking away like a stray dog." Tracie was the first to like it and wrote a comment. "He's just a rabid dog who might bite anytime. Stay away from him. Rabid dogs are dangerous." People in our circle quickly followed suit. When they learned that I'd been kicked out of my own home on my wedding day, they piled on with comments, laughing at my humiliation and misery.

Strangers

Strangers

Men flock to me, but sadly, it always seems to be the wrong men. I was blessed with thick blond hair that stays sun streaked living at the beach. I sport a nice set of C-cups, and stems that go on for miles, even in my eyes. I'm taller than average at five feet nine inches, but there are days where I feel like I'm nothing but legs.

Striding Spirits

Striding Spirits

elder sis replied. Unaware of the frantic search unfolding at home, Vicky was quite blissfully engaged in a playful escapade with a cluster of colourful puppies. He was completely carefree, lost in the joy of the moment, and safe in the company of his new furry friends. As the puppies licked his face, making silly sounds, Vicky burst into laughter. Together, they rolled around on the floor, creating a bundle of energy and happiness. Vicky had no idea about the commotion at home, and the puppies didn't care - they were too busy having the time of their lives with their new playmate.

One Night with a Stranger

One Night with a Stranger

My headache was getting worse and worse as I struggled to recall what had happened. Slowly, fragments of what transpired the day before began to resurface in my mind. Immediately after Brix dumped me, and I saw him banging another woman, I went to a bar and drank, and to my surprise... When I realized what had happened between the stranger in bed and me, I was shocked and horrified. "I had sex with a complete stranger!" I disregarded the nagging voice in my head that appeared like it was saying something "What a fool! In bed with a naked man, why do you think you're naked?"

The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

I sat on the lengthy couch. One of the big dogs that has a silver dog tag with the name 'Four' is a passive type. I know from the first glance that it's a she. She let me rub her head and her tail waggles. The rest of the dogs have the same silver tags with their names that are after a number. The little wild type is called 'One'. Some are sniffing my knees. While soothing myself with the docile dogs, Linly gave me a cup of chocolate tea. "We're preparing for tomorrow's celebration, the comeback of the lost ones. I'm sorry if we can't address your purpose here yet."

Velvet and vengeance: stripped by the enemy

Velvet and vengeance: stripped by the enemy

He whispered into the night, a ghost of a breath escaping his lips as a thick puff of smoke. Something started to shuffle underneath a frosted log and warmth began to spread through his face. Out came a scrawny, shivering stray dog with one clouded eye. It was a pathetic creature, the kind his father would have had drowned for its lack of purpose. Dimitri named him Stray, ironically. He was the only one in the manor that didn’t look at him with eyes he couldn’t read. He watched Stray gobble up the bread he had stolen from the kitchen with a desperate, frantic hunger.

Stranded with My Stepbrother

Stranded with My Stepbrother

“McKenzie, did you have a favorite pet on the farm where you grew up?” Bran rolled his eyes. “I swear to Jesus.” I had to bite the inside of my cheek to keep from laughing. “We had a couple of dogs. My favorite was Trooper. He was a black lab and really derpy.” “Aw, he sounds cute.” She frowned slightly at Bran before smoothing her features back out into a placid smile. Bran didn’t miss a thing, however. “What’s the disapproving glare about?” “It’s not your turn,” Will jumped in immediately. He gave Bran a devilish smile. “Seems you’re on your fourth shot now. What happens after five? Game over?”

My Invincible Husband Has Returned

My Invincible Husband Has Returned

With nowhere left to hide, she crouched down, hugging herself tightly, shaking uncontrollably as the wild dog inched closer. Jovie's eyes, wide and shimmering with tears, were locked on the stray dog inching closer. Panic surged through her as she sobbed, "Daddy, please... I need you to save me... Why aren't you here yet? Please, big dog, don't eat me. I'm not tasty at all..." The dog, oblivious to her pleas, halted just a couple of steps away. It let out a menacing growl before lunging at her, snarling viciously, its fangs gleaming and drool reeking as it sprayed from its jaws.

The Stranger's Baby

The Stranger's Baby

“What do you mean?” “I need something strong.” Melissa dropped her handbag on the arm of the couch and made her way into the kitchen with her stained blazer. She dumped the blazer into the washing machine, then went in search of the strongest drink they had in the fridge. Shutting the door of the fridge, Melissa came face to face with Emily. She sighed. “I bumped into him.” “Who?” Emily frowned. “I don’t know. I don’t know his name. The stranger.” “What stranger? Of course, we just moved to this city, everyone is a stranger.”

This is a nice book, l have read all of them. There is a mix of Love over everything with Forced Affair in this new storyline. May l bring this to your attention chapter 18 is repeated as chapter 19. Could you rectify this please. Thank you. Can not to read more

Very nice & sweet book. The FL is a bit difficult but both she and the ML have been hurt before so their road is a bit bumpy. Sometimes a bit confusing when it's not clear who's speaking. I expected a lot more scheming but it was enough. Both are spicy, have lovely kids and Damien is the best!
