"Excuse me, how am I supposed to just go home? My car is fucking stuck!" He looked at me like I was being so annoying. I might be, but he can't just expect me to leave just like that? Mr. Bernard turned to look at me as he spoke. "Jessica, I'm going to fight this. I don't know how yet. I don't know if I'll win. But I promise you. I'm not giving up."

Ava took a deep breath and let out a shaky exhale as she stared at herself in the mirror, wondering how the interview would go. Bracing myself on the shelf, I quickly grabbed it when it leaned over. I managed to keep it from falling, but it still caused a few books to fall. Picking up the books, I found their rightful place and returned them to the shelf. As I put up the last book, it seemed something was stuck behind the books, preventing them from sliding back. Rearranging the books, I found a small brown book wedged behind them, but it didn’t have a title or seem to belong to the library.

The brick wall, AKA the man covered in blood, stood right in front of me, eyes narrowing on me with I was the inconvenience. “You lost, little lady?” My irritation came back just as fast. “Look,” I started, massaging my sore nose. “I don’t want any trouble. I’ll just go home, like nothing happened. I didn’t see anything.” He took a step forward, bending slightly to meet my eyes. My eyes widened at the sudden intrusion. I stumbled back. He caught me before I could take two steps. My heart skipped.

Then, she let out a heavy breath as she put a hand on her waist and looking at the huge thing in front of her while puzzled by how to get it open. Is she tired? "Nine minutes! The books won't tell you how to open it, Maia. Use both your hands and mind." I let out as I pick up again the document that I was reading earlier. Let's see if she can figure it out.
