Novel & Cerita Submitting To My Best Friend's Dad Book

“Yeah.” “My Dad is probably my best friend in the world, even more so than you. Being angry at him the last two weeks...” He puts a hand over his eyes. “I felt like shit for the things I said to him. I’ve wanted my dad to meet someone and be happy for years. You remember, I used to try and get him on dating apps.” He laughs and I do remember his failed attempts to get Theo on Tinder more than once. “But, it’s so weird that it’s you.” “I know.”

MY DAD'S BEST FRIEND CHAPTER 1 KAYLEE I thought I had the place to myself for two whole weeks. Dad and Lisa left for Italy this morning, Mr. Thompson (his best friend since college) was supposed to be on some trip in Canada until the end of the month. The house is huge, the pool is perfect, and I’ve been crushing on Mr. Thompson since I was old enough to know what a crush was. Tall, broad, salt-and-pepper hair, forearms that could break me in half… yeah. I’ve touched myself in his guest bed more times than I can count.

I was glad for that because my best friend does not hold in her anger very well. “Or you can email me,” I suggested as a few seconds passed in silence. “Okay.” “Thank you! I will check it out.” A sigh escaped my lips at his answer, and I slumped in my chair, going back to scrolling through the story. Apart from working in my fathers publishing house, I was also freelancing as an editor for some bucks. It was easy money. A few minutes passed by when I heard the familiar footsteps entering the hallway. I was relieved upon seeing my father rush to his office. After the way things ended in the morning, I thought he would be pissed off and sulking somewhere.

She could have paid for better and neater work. All these are the questions in my mind. I need to find answers to them soon. And I know the right avenue for that. My birthday party. I have to keep an eye out. Or probably drop hints about it for dad. “He accepted already” my best friend's voice chimed in. I turn to stare back at her and her overly lit face. I smiled, “Wow, that's so lit… I guess I can have my peaceful spa section then” I jumped on my seat, trying as much as possible to maintain that bright voice. My phone vibrated against my thigh.

"He's my dad's best friend, alright?" Jason's eyebrows shot up. "Your dad's best friend? Seriously?" I nodded, looking away. "Yeah, seriously." He whistled appreciatively. "Well, well, isn't that interesting. You really are full of surprises, Sophia Skye." I grinned, relieved that my admission hadn't thrown him off too much. "Yep, I'm a regular enigma." He laughed, his eyes warm as he looked at me. "I believe it. So, what's the story there? How come the richest guy in town is your dad's best friend?"

"You can do it, Max. I believe in you." "That's great, Iris! I'm so happy that you're excited about this. Let's make a plan and work on it together." Max said, with a big smile on her face. "I think we can start by researching publishers and literary agents who may be interested in our project. And of course, we need to make sure the book is in its best form before submitting it." I couldn't help but be excited for my best friends. She has a great talent and it's amazing that she has written a novel. It's great that you're supporting her in her dreams and aspirations. Encouragement and support from friends and loved ones can go a long way in helping someone achieve their goals.

Although he might have hurt me deeply but for the times he was with me and supported me I am grateful. Brain and i were childhood friends his father Mr Baxter and my dad use to be business partners until my dad sold off his shares from Mr Baxter's company and i later got to find out my dad sold off his shares because he was going broke and he needed some money to fund his company- that was when he was being threatened by an anonymous person.

"Another bestseller in the making." Dad smiles. "I gotta get back, Pixie." I climb off. He slips his robe on and kisses me. "I love you, Pixie." He pauses at the door and turns. "Oh, by the way, my agent loves the book and says the publisher is going to send me the advance." Dad slips out my door and gently closes it. I'm just lying here; I can't sleep. I've decided that tomorrow, well, today now, is the day I blow this up.
