Nayna explained. "Kratus?" "Yes... The God of Monster." Nayna said then continued. "Kratus is the God of Plague. If he gets hungry we are offered to this God. A God with 12 arms. He can eat an animal whole!" She explained. Of course, her hair turned white. She is scared also. "This..."

Love and Three Chances

Love and Three Chances

Then Thane remembered what Athanasia said about Elisia's relationship with their siblings. "Your sister said none of your siblings will side with you after what you did to them. Was that including Sura?" Elisia nodded again. "Sura hates me so much. It was my fault he was imprisoned." From what Thane recalled, when the case of missing and murdered Terrans were reported, Sura was the first mythical creature seen in Terra. He was called the soul-eating demon because he killed and eat his victims.

The Charm Of Darkness

The Charm Of Darkness

Remembered it was related to sex and dreams. — Incubus and succubi are creatures that invade people's dreams, engaging in sexual relationships, binding to victims and feeding off their life energy. The victim ends up suffering serious psychological problems and might even die. Succubi are the female form, and incubus are the male form. But that's what legends say. Kyle isn't a complete incubus. He was born to a human, but his father was one. Unlike what's said, they don't sneak into your room at night to have sex with you and steal your life energy, making you think it's just a dream. Believe me, if they're interested in you, it can result in your death. People with knowledge of the supernat

To Devour

To Devour

He climbed up to the roof of the car effortlessly, "But I have got to commend you for your bravery, Bulan. That's why Bathala ordered people to protect you from me." He sat down with crossed legs, still with the loaded gun in his hand. Bulan is believed to be the deity who lit up the night sky. The brave god of beauty and illumination according to folklore. The dark entity possessing Benitez's body, on the other hand, is the spirit of the Bakunawa. The rumoured colossal sea serpent (sometimes a humungous alligator or reptile) who was mesmerized by its beauty, vowing to devour it.

Demon Law : Lost Isle Book 1

Demon Law : Lost Isle Book 1

They can create full scapes and spaces to lock people in, but the thrill for most dream walkers is getting away with it…………. I can’t know for sure if Ren is an incubus, but can say with relative certainty those gifts are aligned. In mythology, Kitsune were tricksters. Changelings, who tormented if not stole people’s sanity bit by bit in numerous ways for even more reasons. Incubi were all about sex. The feed. The spiritual sustenance that was easiest to get in the dream world.

Chasing Kitsune

Chasing Kitsune

I smirked. “I also managed to make a name for myself in the states.” I glanced at Hibiki, who reached over to hold my hand. “Kitsune was a wanted criminal, and all reports said she was to be considered armed and very dangerous. They had passed around her case file, and no one was able to catch her. Those of us that knew what a kitsune is would joke we were dealing with the real deal, and that’s why no one could catch her. Cause who can catch a spirit?” Hibiki chuckled. “Which leads us to how Hibiki and I met.” I smiled softly, gazing at my loving husband. I could still remember the day like it was yesterday.

This is probably one of my favorites from the author. It was well written and puts an interesting spin on Girl Power. I loved how Yuri was just risqué enough to keep me hooked. Yuri/Kitsune are the bada$$ I wish I could be. Hibiki is the perfect pairing for her, complementing not overshadowing her.

The True Nature Series

The True Nature Series

She stopped and gave me a thumbs-up before continuing. "And it has God-like beings known as suani or 'the Quiet Ones.' They turned the humanoid people into wolves, birds, and sea creatures. And they didn't age or die for five hundred freaking years. Then they were transformed again, this time into shape-shifters, half humanoid and half whatever creature they were before." "So damn weird," muttered Luke. "Seriously," agreed Wynona as she attacked another donut. Luke looked like he was jealous of the poor donut. I smiled to myself.

The demon's blessed luna

So make sure that you don't appear before him or else you will face dire consequences, Luna Doreen informs her. I nod timidly as Luna Doreen excuses herself to attend other important issues pertaining to the upcoming event. I skip home happily after hearing that I'm not supposed to attend the festival. I thank the moon goddess for answering my prayers. As she knows in my heart that i really don't want to meet the Demon. Rumors have it that he's very ruthless and wicked but also very handsome. But all the same ,i don't want to meet him and I'm grateful my prayers have been answered.

To The Moon And Back

To The Moon And Back

"Quel, can you take me to the cliff?" "What cliff? Are you planning to jump and kill yourself?" I snorted. "Nope, I just wanna breath the fresh air. Another thing is, I love the tranquility of that place. You know, the cliff where you brought me last, last day?" "Come on, Jha. We both know you just want a better view of the moon." "Argh! Of course!" I exaggeratingly screamed. "Did you know that the Polynesian islanders of the Pacific Ocean say that the moon is a creator goddess named Hina and the women called wahines are her representative in the world." I proudly said.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sukuna from 'Jujutsu Kaisen' is absolutely fascinating because he feels like a blend of myth and original creation. While he isn't directly lifted from a single known legend, his design and backstory clearly pull from Japanese folklore. The name 'Ryomen Sukuna' references a real two-faced demon from ancient tales, but Gege Akutami reimagined him into this terrifying, charismatic curse. The way he's portrayed—those extra arms, the cheeky attitude—it's all fresh yet somehow familiar, like a modern twist on something ancient. I love how JJK plays with these echoes of mythology without being shackled to it; it makes the world feel deeper.

And then there's his role in the story! Sukuna isn't just a villain—he's a force of nature, almost like a dark god. The way characters talk about him with this mix of dread and awe reminds me of how old myths describe uncontainable evils. It's genius how the series uses that mythic weight to make every scene he's in crackle with tension. Whether he's based on one specific tale or not, he feels legendary, and that's what matters.
