“Why did you choose to make tacos?” “We wanted to make something new for us as well. Digging deep into our history, the Philippines was a Spanish colony for 333 years, even longer than Mexico. Both countries were colonized and were part of the Spanish Empire. Many of our fruits and vegetables were brought from Mexico through the Galleon Trade. Such as camote which is sweet potato, singkamas which is Jicama, mani--peanuts, mais--corn and kamatis--tomato.” The Principal who was with the teachers kept nodding in approval. ‘This student really did her research.’

Made a Wish

Made a Wish

O nasa ibang bansa na ako? Napayakap ako ng sarili dahil sa bugso ng malamig na hangin. Malakas din ang alon at walang katao-tao sa paligid. The place was like a ghost-town, literally. Yung babae na tumawag lang nga ata sa akin ang tao rito. Right. Paano ba ako makakabalik sa Pilipinas?

No, if this world would let their male lead experience such things. Eating street foods, how hard can it be? Except for the stomach ache part which I hope won't happen. " Yes, I can. My gut is strong enough, " Sebastian smiled and chose the stick with ' Kikiam ' made out of flour and ground fish meat and gave it to the seller to re-cook. [ Side Note: Kikiam is street food from the Philippines, along with Kwek-kwek, Fishball, Banana Cue, Isaw, Barbecue, Cheese Sticks, Squid balls, and many more! ]

My Heart Hates Me

My Heart Hates Me

(Note: Pagpag is a term given to left-over food, meat picked from garbage and dumps, which is then washed, cooked and sold to poor communities in Manila, Philippines) Ethan quickly ate up his entire meal as he sat in his mother's lap. She picked out the lice from his head. "Eat up and sleep quickly, okay? And don't wake up in the middle of the night" Ethan ate up and turned towards her "Seconds" He said with a smile "I'm sorry, Ethan. That's all I had today. I'll get more tomorrow" She said. He didn't say anything. Sleeping with a half filled stomach wasn't new for people in those areas of the Philippines. He quietly kept the plate aside and sat back in her lap. She caressed his head gently

SENSUAL REVENGE (ENGLISH)

SENSUAL REVENGE (ENGLISH)

Her tone reflected pride in her last statement. As Marius had hoped, we proceeded to the dining room for lunch. The spread on the table was delightful: Paksiw na Bangus, a savory Filipino dish made with milkfish marinated in vinegar, garlic, and spices, creating a delectable balance of sourness and richness. Accompanying it was Tortang Talong, an eggplant omelet, where grilled eggplants are dipped in beaten eggs and then fried to perfection. For dessert, we enjoyed Buko Pandan, a refreshing Filipino delicacy made with young coconut strips mixed with pandan-flavored gelatin, tapioca pearls, and sweetened cream.

Secretly in Love with the Boss

His tongue could still taste the sweetness of her delectable lips. Enough! Napaungol siya nang malakas. His arousal was getting out of control. "Stop acting like a bashful teenager, man!" bulyaw niya sa sarili, ngunit pabulong lang. "You can have any woman you want--and Samantha Cruz is not an exception!" Ever since he got back to his father's home country, he had been discovering that Filipina women were not so different with other countries'. Ultra-modern na rin. Sanay na sa mga live-in arrangements at sa mga one-night stands.

Loving A Stripper

“ARE YOU sure Andrius will love that?” Helen asked Samantha as the latter put the Pinakbet (veggies that were cooked with fish sauce) in the bowl. Samantha smiled. “Of course. Why wouldn’t he?” Helen rolled her eyes. “Hello… Andrius grew up here and Pinakbet is Filipino food.” “Andrius will not have to love it… like is different to love. And I’m sure he will like it. If not, then I will not talk to him—”

He nodded in understanding. "Yes.... !" We shouted together to see that there was one person who could meet this challenge. It feels good to see someone succeed. "Let's try it, come on!" I asked to pull Mas Suma's hand. "No need! My wish has been granted! Let's go find something to eat!" Mas Suma refused and asked me around again. Our food of choice is lupis. Food made from sticky rice in the shape of a triangle sprinkled with grated coconut and doused with brown sugar.

I don't even know what are its ingredients. I love Bulalo—if you're not familiar with it, it's a filipino food. I once go in the Philippines, and I tasted Bulalo. And the moment I tasted it, I knew it will become my favorite! Aside from Bulalo, I tasted so many delicious food there in the Philippines, like Sinigang, a chicken curry, and of course! My second favorite! Adobo! It's very very delicious. So fantastic.
