Feral Attraction
“We come here almost all the time after class.”
Gal nodded, eyes half-closed in bliss. “If I lived here, I’d be broke from ice cream alone.”
Liam chuckled. “Same.”
We talked for nearly an hour, about music, school, and college plans. Ivy showed us photos from their school's after exam's party, and Liam told stories about Brentwood’s local legends, mostly exaggerated, but entertaining nonetheless.
By the time we’d finished our ice cream, it felt like we’d known them for years.
As we stood to leave, Ivy’s phone buzzed. She read the message and smiled. “Hey, there’s a bonfire happening later this week on Friday night at Crescent Beach. You guys should come!”
