Then, it smiled a small smile that looked just like Siron’s, and EXPLODED INTO A MIST OF SILVER AND GOLD, destroying several Soul Scavengers around it in a final blast.
Siron screamed, feeling a strange and deep sense of loss, as if he had lost a piece of himself.
The protection dome held. The remaining Soul Scavengers, having lost many of their kind, finally retreated into the forest.
The treehouse was safe. The Soul Flower sprout was safe.
But the shadow that had helped them, was gone.
Siron sat down, panting. He looked at his own hand. His shadow on the floor was now normal, following his movements. No more silver light. No more detached consciousness.
