They were two of Dexter's betas. I understood Dexter's plans now. He had given me Wolf's bane instead of the elixir, so that I would be vulnerable and weakened when his two betas would come in to beat me up and probably bring me into his party to flaunt his success of defeating the forever detested Alpha Blade. Unfortunately for him, I had been smart enough not to swallow it. The only effect it had on me was the burning and pain in my mouth which had gradually lessened "Let me ask you this now that you both are alive." I said as I watched them bring out batons. "Was it your Alpha that sent you to me to die or is it just fate?"

"Swoosh!" A sharp sound rang through the air as the long spear zoomed to the sky like a streak of black lightning. A pop sound was heard. Then, the giant of the Winged race cried out in alarm. Blood splashed out from his shoulder, which was almost pierced through by the long spear.

Ravi slammed the door behind him and was startled to find Adrian floating by the window, his wings flapping, hands folded across his chest, wearing a smug expression. He knew all too well that this creature was the one responsible for the chaos Ravi had just experienced. Ravi quickly moved to the window, fists clenched in anger, a sharp gaze directed at him with disapproval. He opened the window with a loud creak. "You're the problem here."

I furrowed my brows, realizing that Zaden had known what was going to happen, before hand. "In this round, each team will be given two pieces of silver, molded in the shape of an egg. The task is to safeguard your own silver eggs and claim the eggs of your opponents. Each Beta and Gamma will be the ones to hold the eggs and the Alpha will defend his team. You have five minutes" the royal betas said. The crowd cheered in response. "The first set of competitors are Alpha Jaden Blackwood and Alpha Dylan. Please step into the arena with your Betas and Gammas."

Ilyana continued reading, not allowing sadness to creep into her thoughts. “The wings are special. The human body is not designed for flight - the chest is too small, the muscles are weak and the body is heavy. An ordinary person cannot get off the ground, even with wings. Seraphim can fly due to the fact that their wings are woven from thin threads of the Force. You can control your wings by learning to control your own magical energy. But the peculiarities of Selena’s children do not end there. Wings, being a dynamic structure, are influenced by the owner. With sufficient control, they can be modified, made sharp or dense. Wings are one of the main weapons and shields of the seraph warrior

Never in their dreams did they expect this to happen. One of the mecha lifeforms said angrily, “Sanguine, are you going to accept this brat's control? He’s only in the middle stage of nine stars! Besides, he’s of a different species, so we can’t possibly share the same mind! Do you guys want to live under his shadow for the rest of your lives?!” The one known as Sanguine was a mecha beast with two wings on its back, a tiger head, a lion body, and a snake tail.

This hunger that kept her constantly in my mind. But a crazed panic overcame me one day while I was out for a short flight. I had left my office feeling tense and annoyed that I couldn't go see Amara until my paperwork was finished, deciding to Shift and take Erebos out to stretch his wings. It’s a long but welcome process for a dragon to Shift, with our body melding into our dragon's heart while the rest manifests through a cloud of black smoke. My solid black and scale covered body had been enjoying the sky just aimlessly flying over the forest when a distant cracking sound caught my attention. I dropped lower and found myself over the ruins, my heart stopping cold in my chest as I caught

“Are you my boyfriend or my bodyguard?” He held his ring in front of me, my eyes were magnetized by the intricate carvings on it. “Guardian angel, remember?” He straightened up on his seat, and in a louder than necessary voice, he said, “And unlike the last one you had, I have a sword, not a halo. And my wings are black, not white. It’s time they realized who they will have a problem with the next time they hurt even a single hair in your body!” My eyes widened at him. He took my hand in his again, and then he bent down to kiss my fingers once again. “I love you, angel.” He didn’t even whisper that. I was sure many people around us heard everything he said.

Sighing I reply, "Don't worry about it Jayson, man up and face your fears, remember I gat you, I'm here." As we finish talking, the plane takes off, and plugging my air pods in my ears, I drift off. TBC
