His voice was loud enough to cut through the sonic boom. I looked up. From the hangar bays of the flagship, a swarm of black shapes dived toward us. They weren't drones. They were "Sky-Eaters"—bio-engineered wyverns with jet turbines grafted into their wings. The Council's answer to air superiority. One of them, a beast with a wingspan of forty feet and a jaw full of spinning saw-blades, locked onto us. It shrieked—a digital-organic scream that made my blood run cold.

Zachary glanced at me. Instead of getting mad, he scrutinized me apathetically. Wynnie, who was beside him, suddenly said, "Mr. Lowe, Yas has shown talent as a pilot since she was young. She got her license when she was 18. At 22, she has already outperformed many experienced pilots. She's made it this far through her own efforts." Wynnie's voice was as gentle as her smile in the photo from 20 years ago.

"A single wing. I remember thinking it was strange because it wasn't the Vale family crest. Wraithmoor has always used two." The wind moved through the trees. For a few seconds, that was the only sound. Then, somewhere far away, faint enough that I almost convinced myself I'd imagined it, I heard the helicopter again. Not returning. Just distant. Fading. Carrying Mara farther away from us with every second we stood there talking about embroidery instead of moving. "One wing," Sienna repeated. Something shifted behind her eyes. I could almost see the pieces connecting. "A single wing." Her voice had gone quiet. Focused. The grief was still there, but it was changing shape. Hardening into some

Swoosh swoosh swoosh swoosh! He saw that Miyamoto Shixiong flew into a rage. In an instant, dozens of Desert Eagles hit his head.

They both were clutching its wings. After Su had jumped off the Cliff, both Creed and Wu had also followed with masked presence. Since the beast was focused on catching Su, it could not see them jumping off. Creed took advantage of the darkness and narrow vision of the beast. “Do it now!” Creed shouted as Mayhem saber manifested in his hand, “Alright! no holding back this time!” Wu yelled loudly and stabbed its wings with his own dagger. They both thrust their weapons through the beast’s wings. Blood gushed out. The Aves’ made the most inhuman shriek possible.

I just stared at him, unable to say anything. He introduced himself to me and after a very lengthy conversation I learnt that he was the leader of the group he called 'the Rebel'; That their planet had been taken over by The Force, a group that overthrew the government, killed almost everyone of them with supernatural abilities that refused to work for them and enslaved other citizens. The Rebel was formed to identify those with powers and bring them such that when their numbers grew big they would rise up against the Force and reclaim their land.

The floating cloud outdoor was a faint shade of ocean blue with the sun smiling so brightly from its highest point in the sky which had caused her to shield her eyes slightly, still heading towards the packing lot where his car was parked. Aria felt weird walking directly under the sun again which was a common reaction after she had to stay bed ridden for so long and away from the sun as well. It has been exactly four months and fourteen days since she was admitted and she was walking perfectly on her own without the aid of a nurse or wheelchair. Even when the doctor had suggested it, she turned it down and her husband couldn't be more proud of her decision.

she added while laughing. "All right, let's get this over with. Are you aware of the location of the restrooms?" Zeeve had enquired. "Uh, no," Zeira responded with a devious grin on her face. Zeeve walked over to the nearest sales employee on his side of the aisle. It was a young lad, maybe my age or younger, who appeared to be really terrified and intimated by him. I couldn't help but note how tall Zeeve was in comparison to the boy. For Pete's sake, he's six and two feet tall and the boy was probably just my height which is 5’6.

But that was because the Northern Star pack had something that other packs didn't; their Luna was a witch. The fated union between a werewolf and a witch hadn’t gone down smoothly with puritans but sixteen years on, Ulf and Estrid had defied all odds and united their pack. Their love for each other inspired unity and peace amongst their people while their tenacity and bravery was what drove them to protect their people.
