I was still trying to process everything when Dante cleared his throat awkwardly, obviously trying to shake off the weird tension too. “We just…” Dante began, but she cut him off again. “I know just what you should get,” she said, then immediately turned around and shuffled to a shelf behind her. She moved things around, humming softly under her breath. Then she finally returned, holding a pair of woven bracelets. One was dark crimson—almost the color of dried blood—threaded with black beads and tiny crescent moon charms. The other was gray, with delicate blue stones and feathers tied at the end. Both of them shimmered in the light.

"If you don't have time, I can return it myself," Bruce added. On the top floor of Sterling Corp., Julian turned the charm over in his hand. His strong, arrogant face darkened with concern. This was no ordinary charm. The one from Bellroad Temple was always a peach-blossom charm meant for love, not peace of mind. "Let me return it." Bruce exhaled in relief. "Okay." Elliot, who had been watching everything, dropped his jaw. He stared wide-eyed as Julian opened his wallet and carefully slid the charm into an inner compartment.

At this time, Claire took the bracelet in her hand before she asked, “Charlie, you made this yourself, right?” “Yes.” Charlie nodded before he replied, “This pearl and clam shard necklace has the effect of calming the nerves and it will help you to sleep well at night. If you wear it often, it will also help you to ward off evil. It was a little too rushed today that is why the workmanship is a little rough. I promise to make you a more beautiful bracelet when I have the opportunity to do so in the future.”

Something wrapped around Gail’s wrist and she felt magic once again pierce into her. Aunt Rose dropped her arm and Gail saw a wide bracelet on her wrist. Made of black leather, with threads of purple woven into it, Gail recognized the bracelet as some kind of charm for a binding spell. Panic slammed into Gail. “No, stop,” she screamed and pulled her hand away and out of the second bracelet before her aunt wrapped the leather bracelet around it.

A breadcrumb left behind by whoever had silenced Nurse Irene. “I don’t know who you belong to,” I whispered to the charm, my voice small but fierce, “but you’re going to tell me.” I pulled out my phone, snapped a clear picture, and ran an image search. My thumb trembled as I scrolled through the results. And then it appeared… right there on the screen: Custom Silver Charm Bracelet — Designed by Violette & Co. Jewelers. Exclusive line. Personalized orders only. My stomach tightened. Personalized.

“Open it.” “Are you sure?” “Why wouldn’t I be sure, Kel?” I shook off my awkward feelings and slowly untied the red bow and opened the small white box. Inside was a silver bracelet with three charms. I grabbed out slowly with Rogan watching my every move. The charms were a small silver wolf, a red moon in the middle, and a darker black metal wolf on the other side. I took each little charm and examined each one marveling at the small attention to detail. “Do you like it?”

“Oh. That is your Christmas present. I didn’t get the chance to give it to you before.” I trade him the glass for the box after chugging half of the tangy liquid. Excitement evident as I tare into the simple silver and blue wrapping paper to reveal a black velvet box. I set the torn paper aside and open the box to see a simple rose gold charm bracelet. Two charms dangle from the chain, one is a sun with golden rays extending from the center, and the other is a simple flower with white petals. I lift the bracelet from its box and turn the charms over in my fingers. The sun has the letters S, D engraved on the back and the flower has the letters D, D etched on the back.

Soft. From the corner of my eye, something warm calls to me. The bottom corner of the desk, just beneath the edge, pulses with a gentle shimmer. Curious, I lean forward and press my fingers to it. Warmth blooms against my skin, familiar and comforting. I press gently, and with a click, a hidden compartment slides open. Inside: two bracelets, both softly glowing. My breath catches. Each bracelet is crafted of silver chain and braided black cord, with a crescent moon on its face—each half of a whole. Hanging from the moon charms are silver initials: Z.

The forest held its breath too. Charleie kept walking. Her fingers brushed the small silver charm at her wrist—half habit, half superstition. A crescent moon etched in obsidian, given to her years ago by someone she no longer spoke to. She hated how comforted she felt by its weight. A twig snapped to her right. Charlie turned calmly toward the sound, tilting her head like she was listening past the edge of human hearing—which, in fairness, she was. Her voice slipped lower, picking up a faint growl buried beneath it.

Dawn gave him a very sweet smile,"even though I really admire you, and think that you are a worthy opponent, I still don't trust you, so just in case you tried to harm someone, this bracelet is going to stop you from that. Also you can;t take this off on your own. If you tried then it's going to hurt." Everyone looked at her before they sighed. They all wanted to have this conversation with Lucien about the trust issues that they had with him, but Dawn just went ahead and spoke her mind. But Lucien didn't feel bad, instead he just smirked. Dawn also added, "Also this can act a protective charm... if you get into trouble someday thus is going to save you, and also a lucky charm seeing that ho
