There are millions of humans every day who pretend to be vampires, demons, and other supernatural beings. They dress up, wear fangs, and some even drink blood. All over the internet, people claim they’ve seen vampires, know demons, or are werewolves. Why is that?"

“After tonight… after seeing that… there’s no point pretending.” I said nothing. He took a shaky breath. “There are others too.” “Others?” “Supernatural beings.” I tilted my head slightly, acting confused. “Like what?” He hesitated. “Wolves. Vampires. Skinwalkers. Fae. Things people don’t believe in.” My wolf bristled. “And you know this how?” I asked evenly. He looked at Bri’s unconscious form. “My family is a part of a group of mortal beings who hunt them.”

"I don’t know. It wαs so weird. But mom... she kept sαying something αbout me being in heαt? I’m still trying to figure out whαt thαt meαns." Raphael's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Familiars, you say? I'm not familiar with the concept." I chuckled at the pun, launching into an explanation. "Familiars are supernatural beings with the ability to shapeshift. They're powerful, and magical, and serve as our protectors and guides. They amplify our abilities and assist us in mastering our craft." Raphael's eyes widened, intrigued. "Fascinating! I think I might need a familiar of my own. Where do I sign up?"

Emily decided to ask first. Gabriel thought for a second and said, “Conri is my other half. He is part of me, just like I am part of him.” “That did not answer my question though,” Emily said with a scowl. Sighing, Gabriel sat up and looked Emily in the eyes. “Do you believe in the supernatural,” he asked. “What? Do you mean like ghosts, vampires, and werewolves,” Emily asked skeptically. “Yes,” Gabriel said with a nod. “Especially the last one.”

But not about how he transformed, well not yet anyway. After they calmed down some. I nervously asked, "Hey, how do y'all um, feel about Supernatural beings?" They all looked at me funny. "Super what?" "Girl, what the hell are you talking about?" I ask them. "Like Vampires, Werewolves, Angels, Demons, shit like that. How do y'all feel about them?" I looked at each of their faces thoroughly, studying them closely. I saw many conflicting emotions in their eyes. Like they knew some things but were afraid of what someone would think if they voiced them. Silenced because of peer pressure. I knew the feeling too well. They started questioning me again.

So this isn't his first rodeo. "I think I'm an alright person. It depends on who you ask, though." I give him a little wink, and he laughs, "How many of these have you been to?" "This is my sixteenth time attending." Wow. I don't know why I expected a lower number. "So, you've met quite a few humans then, huh? I've never met a supernatural." He cringes. "We do not like being called *supernaturals*. We prefer being called *mystical*. Supernatural suggests we are abnormal, and it desensitizes us. We are just as natural as mortal beings." I feel embarrassed.

Like Lana. The principal told me to go to the gallery room. So both of "Look, there are lots of children with special powers like us. I'm happy that we are not the only weirdos." Christian laughed but I didn't laugh at his joke. It's obvious that there will be many unique supernaturals. Christian is as weird as me. He also has a Blonde wolf and elemental powers in him. "I don't know why I am even invited. I'm just a vaewolves." Kai rolled his eyes in annoyance. And I and Christian laughed.

My bare feet sank into the soft carpet as I slowly walked toward him, careful not to make a sound or wake him. Up close, he was even more breathtaking. The top few buttons of his black shirt were undone, revealing the hard, tanned expanse of his collarbone and chest. His lips looked incredibly soft, almost swollen, and his long, dark eyelashes cast shadows on his cheekbones. Is he actually real? I wondered, my mind spinning. Is he a human, or did a god take pity on me and send an angel down to earth? Mesmerized, I slowly raised my hand. I extended my index finger, intending to just lightly touch the bridge of his straight nose to see if he was made of flesh and bone.
