“Look at this.” The payment structure listed standard medical surrogacy compensation. But directly underneath it sat an additional clause marked Executive Discretionary Bonus. The number made her stomach tighten. “Three hundred thousand dollars?” she said slowly. Keller frowned. “That’s not possible.” “Standard surrogacy compensation in Europe averages around ninety thousand.” He leaned closer to confirm. Selena was right. Marcus had paid the surrogate more than three times the typical rate. “That’s not a bonus,” Keller said quietly. “That’s a bribe.”

Throughout my life, I have strived to maintain excellent physical and emotional health. I have undertaken e

“I’ll do it, Lisa. I’m going to make my father proud.” Lisa’s smile widened, warm and reassuring. “That’s the spirit. I’m strongly behind you, Ken.” After a brief pause, Ken leaned back again, lifting his phone. “I need to proceed with the surrogate process,” he said, his voice steady. “I’ll write to some reputable hospitals, find a good surrogate, and then I’ll take it from there.” Lisa’s brows furrowed in concern. “Are you really serious about this… your surrogate thing?” “Of course,” Ken replied confidently. “I need to give my dad a grandchild.”

Threatening me ? Delilah Tomson ?

Julia smiled sweetly. "Maria, I hope I'm not intruding. I'll be a great roommate." I looked at her. This woman. The biological mother of the child in my womb. Moving into my home. My heart was bleeding. Was Victor doing this so she could bond with "our" baby early? So she could watch me, make sure the surrogate didn't mess up? "Of course you're not intruding," my voice was terrifyingly calm. "Welcome, Julia."

Everything I’ve known all these while were all lies. I took a shaky step back, my body barely holding me up. “No…” I whispered. “And.. that prenup you signed?” She threw in casually “was actually a surrogacy form!” Her smile widened. My head spun aggressively.. Why? Why me? What did I ever do to deserve this? Vivianne tilted her head, watching me like I was entertainment. “You see,” she continued casually, “Adrian loves me. Very much.” Her fingers brushed his arm possessively.

They both sat down and the lady brought out a document with about five pages. "This contains the terms and conditions of the surrogacy. Please read through and let me know if you agree." Charlotte carefully went through every single word on the document and the clauses were multifarious. One of them includes not telling anyone the identity of the surrogate founder. This made her more curious. Who exactly is this man and why is he putting up an act of surrogacy with an unknown identity?

I pressed on, but it seemed the more I spoke, the more angry he got. “You know what? Fine. I’m going to speak to my wife because I can’t even seem to find any other person who would be a suitable match for a surrogate mother. There are different things we need from a particular person who is going to be our surrogate mother,” he said. “Like what?” I asked, hoping he would say something that would make me qualify. “Like… like compatibility, trustworthiness, healthiness, attractiveness… and love,” he said, looking into my eyes.

Not only did it bring the joy of having a child into our lives, but it also had a profound effect on the connections and relationships within our close-knit group. It was unlike anything we had ever encountered before.

Every time she closed her eyes, the image of Gabriel's face sighing above her body always popped up. She opened her eyes again, then blinked a few times, trying to dispel the ridiculous image. Then she tried to replace Gabriel's face with the face of her mom who was lying weakly on the hospital bed. She had to stay in this place whatever the conditions so Olivia was willing to pay for it. According to the contract she signed, if after the first sexual intercourse, she did not become pregnant then she had to do a second, third, fourth, and fifth try. If she still wasn't pregnant, then her job would be over and Olivia would pay her accordingly.
