Off Limits
Slowly, he shifted, rolling us onto our sides but never letting me go, still buried deep inside me as if refusing to let the connection end.
His arm curved heavy across my waist, pulling me closer, his lips brushing reverently over the damp skin of my shoulder. “I meant what I said. No one touches you. No one takes you from me.”
I turned my head, kissing the edge of his jaw, whispering back, “Then don’t ever stop holding me like this.”
He tightened his hold, chest to back, holding me in his warmth. And for a moment, I let myself believe.
But then…
From down the hallway, a faint creak echoed. The sound of a door opening just slightly.
