The entire hall went dead silent in shock. "The scent you all must smell on my stepsister belongs to me. Cathy is carrying my pup, and under the decree of the Moon Goddess, she is my fated mate and your new Luna." There were gasps of shock, whispers of taboo, and sudden restless shifts among the older ranks. Suddenly, Elder Brandon—an arrogant, middle-aged wolf who had two young omega wives—stepped out of the crowd, his face twisted in sneering disbelief.

He said this and smiled at Adom. Adom just wanted to hug him. He was way too good for this world. He felt the tension and his nerves leave his body, and he laughed lightly. He could breathe again. “I'm so lucky to have you around. I had a reason not to tell anyone. Uhm. I'm an omega."Adom continued. “and? Is that a bad thing? I think omegas are the strongest gender there is.” Jack said, scooted closer to Adom, and put his hand on his shoulder.

Liora buried her face into the crook of Storm's neck, her shoulders shaking as she pretended to weep bitter tears of grief over the painful necessity of executing her own sister. The submissive Omega was dead in the dirt, the Alpha was firmly under her spell, and the entire kingdom was finally hers to rule.

"Council orders. You hit our grid, we hit your weak spots. Omegas are the key. One sip and boom. Uncontrollable. Drives the whole city mad." One of the rescued Omegas lunged forward despite her pain. "You bastard. My sister's out there right now, screaming. What kind of monster poisons the water?" "Monster that wins," he shot back. Jax arrived then, wiping sweat from his brow, a fresh cut on his cheek. "Avery, med team's overwhelmed. We got maybe a hundred pulled in safe but reports say five thousand showing signs already. Alphas going feral in packs. One group nearly stormed a bakery because an Omega hid inside."

That her true prince could wake her up like in the story of the sleeping beauty. Unfortunately, my "Sleeping Beauty" kind of story ended when her parents burned her wolf's body and sent her into the middle of the wide blue ocean. Her parents and the entire pack were mourning for a year when Natasha was their only daughter and the sole heir of the Crescent Moon pack. A year after that, I opened myself to a new relationship. This time, to an omega like me. Unfortunately, our relationship did not last long when I decided to offer my kiss even during our first week. She died with a smile on her face.

She leaned back into her chair, as if distance was needed for whatever she was about to say. “Gerard,” she said, voice softer—the softest I’ve ever heard. “You of all people should know that’s possible.” My chest tightened, my muscles contracting. “When someone becomes an omega, it rewires their brain,” she continued. “The brain chemistry. Instincts. Alpha pheremones that usually trigger aggression start triggering attraction.” Her eyes searched mine to be sure I was following. “There’s a reason Alphas clash with other Alphas, and omegas don’t.”

Back To Together. Natasha's POV My eyes swiveled to the right and to the left as Ryan paced around his study taking historical books one after the other as he checked them. Anytime he didn't find anything useful he groaned and I sighed.I felt relieved as I opened up to Ryan,I told him everything that has been going on with me, starting with the time I was almost choked to death and how I burnt the garden. I was grateful Ryan didn't find me as a weirdo or thought that I needed mental treatment because all the facts in the history books all together stated that Omegas are the weakest in the chain rank and have no possibility of gaining immense strength.

I finally healed, and made myself comfortable in one of the single seated sofa, as Alpha Dane let out a deep sigh. “I would like to know more about the mate perhaps.” Alpha Dane said in response. “Well,” Robert started, “As you can see, the moon goddess decides that we bond with a packless omega, which actually makes her part of our pack— she was actually being merciful on the hopeless “thing” that she had forgotten that I and my brothers deserved mercy as well. But as a matter of fact, we are one big happy family, aren't we Natasha?” Robert asked, fixing his eyes on me.

She asked. Lexie's senses came flying back then. What had she just done? From the get-go, her plan had been to make it through this party by keeping her head down. If no one noticed her, she could return to her room in one piece. That wouldn't be happening now, because she had gone and run her mouth. The second woman sniffed the air, and immediately frowned. "Are you an omega?" The question was like a blow in Lexie's guts. Following suit, the first woman sniffed Lexie's scent. "My gosh, you really are an omega!" She confirmed.

Elder Summers looked into my eyes as I approached. "She's just like Samantha." I said quietly. "Yeah, where do you think Sam learned it from? Matilda loves that girl like her own child." Elder Summers nodded. "Goddess help you son, these Omegas are trouble." he added with a teasing glint. I nodded in agreement. "But they are more than worth it." I answered and he grinned. "That they are."
