A hilt of a sword. “Oh wow.” She said and wrapped a hand around the hilt, it was black and smooth. She pulled it out and it made noise as it slid against the stone. It was a very large broad sword that was a double edged black. The hilt a hand and a half width though hers fit on it just fine. The moment she pulled it all the way out, the weight made it fall more to the floor and tapped it slightly. There was a sudden crackle and the top of the lid looked to suddenly disintegrate and turn to black smoke that evaporated. She moved forward, she wasn’t too afraid. It was clearly sealed with magic, but no death curse that she could see or anything. Beside she had it open now.

In order to use a magic skill. About 50+ trainees, the same number as the monsters, were going to engage. Some of the trainees were waiting, as a substitute when some of the first batches were going to give up. Yman was not in the first batch as well. When everyone heard the signal of instructor Goki, they rushed towards the monsters, while grabbing their trusted weapon they specialized in using. Yman noticed the beautiful girl named Almina Amulet. In her hand was a 1-meter sword that was exuding a chilly aura around it. "Ice elemental sword," he mumbled.

Deliberating on this, he retrieved the Scarletsky Sword and initiated its practice. While the Scarletsky Sword appeared unremarkable at first, Severin ignited its flames during the process of accustoming himself to it. A luminous divine light merged with the sword, and the ensuing hum signaled the release of a formidable swordwill. The swordwill shot up to the sky, and the pressure was so strong that even a level four supreme saint like Severin was startled by the piercing pain on his skin.

The witches closed in, their laughter echoing like a chorus of nightmares. Something inside Aqua snapped. A surge of dark energy, unfamiliar and terrifying, welled up within her. She felt her pendant grow hot against her skin, the clear crystal turning black as smoke. The air around her crackled with raw power as she turned back towards the attackers, her fear morphing into a blinding rage.

It could be vaguely seen that one person was holding a long sword and rushing up to the sky, like an irresistible god of the sword in flames. The sword light directly struck the enormous black beam of lightning. It didn't stop at all, like a sharp knife ripping a moldy steak open. The Black Lightning that continued to gather was cut into two pieces by this huge silver sword light. "No..." A roar of horror and unwillingness rang out. Then, a rain of blood fell from the sky. A figure in an extremely sorry fashion rushed to the distant sky like a stray dog and disappeared in an instant. The sword light fell from the sky and returned to Qing River Town.

It took in a deep breath for another belch of flame. I extended my hand out. "Sword!" Nothing happened. The dragon's maw opened wide, ready to spit flame. "I am Nami! Sword!" The Aurora Sword flew from the trees. It landed in my hand just as the black flames extended from the dragon's mouth. The Aurora Sword lengthened and split the flame in two. The sword, my armor, and my wings all emanated white and rainbow light as I held fast against the black flame.

But the black gleaming object did not pursue him; as if satisfied in driving him far away, it circled back and stopped, hovering right in front of Winsome Widow. It was a short dagger. A short weapon with a blade as black as the darkest night, exuding a chilly aura that would make any foe's blood run cold. The scholar, with the other warriors who had been watching from the side, could not believe their eyes. Another powerful Sacred Relic!? Winsome Widow was surprised to see the black dagger, but she knew who sent it. She seized the short weapon and channeled her fire-based magic, imbuing its blade with tongues of flames that glowed with a burgeoning aura of its own.

The wind shifted, carrying the scent of coming rain. And something else. Change. Evie didn’t know it yet— But in three weeks… Black Claw wouldn’t belong to them anymore. It would belong to her.

It smelled of damp stone, old hay, and solitude. Makil was already there, warming up with a series of fluid stretches that further betrayed his training. He wore similar clothes to yesterday, and two practice longswords were thrust into the ground at the center of the yard. Leigh arrived silently, a shadow detaching from the deeper shadows of the archway. She'd re-braided her hair tightly. She said nothing, simply walked to the center, pulled one sword from the earth, and tested its weight. "No rules," Makil said, pulling the other. "First to yield, or be disarmed."
