Sunny Days

Sunny Days

"Wow! and you're here working for the librarian, telling me you're not in charge. Pushed away all students with your odd remarks. A......nd..... told me I don't know anything about what's inside these books...you must really be smart and rich!" Pia started stacking the books back. "What you don't know won't kill you." Pia displayed an emotionless yet devilish smile while she moved to do a little whisper. Well, if you can call it a smile. Andrew followed her. Before he took his dramatic exit, he went passed the girl, intentionally moving to whisper too the words: "But I am...powerful." Andrew vanished off while Pia continued her errand, not really paying attention to the details of what Andre

The Day My Daughter Fell

The Day My Daughter Fell

People who knew us stepped forward to defend him, praising his patience with my supposed temper and his endless tolerance of my so-called flaws. Even my best friend, Yvonne Smith, went live on her social media. She told everyone I had once confided in her that if Cody didn't behave, I would throw our daughter out of the window to make him regret it for the rest of his life. I was paralyzed with disbelief, unable to defend myself against such betrayal. And the comments online only got worse. [If even her husband and best friend say she's like this, how could it not be true?] [She's pure evil. She killed her own daughter. Someone like her deserves to die!]

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day Lily Said “I Love You” Without Actually Saying the Words It happened on a rainy afternoon. God. The kind of afternoon that made the entire house feel warm. Safe. Home. Rain tapped softly against the windows while the ocean beyond the cliffs disappeared beneath gray mist. Everything felt peaceful. Fair. Lily sat in the living room surrounded by books, toys, and approximately seventeen objects that were definitely not toys but somehow became toys anyway. Reasonable honestly. Meanwhile, Adrian worked on his laptop.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

The Day Love Died

The Day Love Died

I told him it was hard to find someone as honest as Lionel, so I settled for Lionel. Yet, how did it end up like this? Lost in thought, I headed out to buy funeral items for the kids. Suddenly, Fiona and Eva approached me, both carrying shopping bags. Fiona looked fresh and radiant, flaunting a new diamond necklace and ring. "Aster? It's only been a few days, and you look… awful." Then, she noticed the white lilies in my hands, and her eyes lit up as she continued, "Funeral flowers? Did someone in your family die? Lionel hasn't mentioned anything."

Her Day, My Torment

Her Day, My Torment

She sat across from me. Her face was composed. But her eyes— Surely there was guilt there, but something else too. Something sharp. Ambition. "You should be apologizing to Everly, not to me," I said. "I don't have time for this." I hoped she'd take the hint and leave. Ordinarily, someone like her would never set foot in my office. It was only because she was Everly's sister. But Ruby didn't leave. "I heard your Luna can't have children anymore," she said.

The Cold Alpha’s Betrothed Bride

The Cold Alpha’s Betrothed Bride

'' Sylvia sighed. She got out of bed, heading towards the bathroom to do her toilet business. That day, she wanted to be productive and not laze about, waiting for Remus to get back. She wanted to put her hands in many things but that was when she remembered that she had to finish up the book and with that, Sylvia pulled the book out of its hiding page, opening to its last page. Sylvid didn't know what she would encounter but she had a feeling that she was going to badly miss the book that had given her answers more than anybody else.

The Day And The Night

The Day And The Night

No matter how willing they were to feel each other, some invisible manacles were there, holding both of them apart. The sky was dark but still belonged to the morning, as it was an early hour striking 3 am on the time measuring tool. A deafening silence was filling the vacuum of that busy road, carrying no one else than those two bodies, which might be each other’s, but was no more than a stranger to it. No car could be seen passing by, as if the road has blocked itself to give time to these strangers crying their hearts out inside, but have nothing to utter outside, even if it is a sob. Though the illuminating lights were so bright, ready to compete with the sun, the world of these souls ca

The Day I Stopped Waiting

The Day I Stopped Waiting

" Ethan froze mid-step, his body visibly trembling, before he rushed away. With that, the chaotic room went silent, leaving just me and my mother. I kept my head lowered, silently squatting to clean up the broken shards. My mother sighed deeply and softly called my name. "Claire, I've known everything for a long time now. "The day you came back, I had waited. I waited for you to kneel in front of your father's portrait and confess the truth to me. But you didn't. "Then that heartless man showed up to deceive me, and I waited for you to wake up and tell me yourself. But you didn't." She looked at me disappointedly. "Claire, are you truly planning to entrust yourself to someone like Ethan West

Frequently Asked Questions

It's always exciting to discuss Sylvia Day's collection because she's an incredible writer who knows how to craft steamy romance that captivates readers from the get-go! Personally, I still believe that the 'Crossfire' series stands out as her magnum opus. It kicks off with 'Bared to You' where we meet Gideon Cross and Eva Tramell, and let me tell you, their chemistry ignites the pages. The intensity of their relationship is both breathtaking and tumultuous, leaving you yearning for more with each book in the series.

The character development is superb! Gideon is this enigmatic millionaire with his own emotional baggage, and Eva's journey of self-discovery is so relatable. What makes it even more interesting is how Sylvia expertly balances passion with deeper themes like trauma and healing. I reveled in the emotional rollercoaster and how the plot twists kept me guessing. It’s hard not to get swept up in their world! I also appreciate how the supporting characters add layers to the story, especially the complexities of the friendships and rivalries.

Another gem worth mentioning is 'Reflected in You', which delves deeper into the entangled lives of Gideon and Eva, bringing more drama and steam. If you haven't yet picked up this series, do yourself a favor and dive in! It's one of those reads that you lose sleep over, but honestly, who needs sleep when the pages are this riveting?
