Wolf of Stone

Wolf of Stone

Liza said that today was our relaxing day, but I wanted to get this over and done with, so I brought the book to read while they relaxed. I sat down cross legged on the sofa and opened the book to start reading, blocking out the noises from the TV. The four main founders of Sylia were Elizabeth Micheal, Justin Parrish, Judith Clarke, and Daniel Bayley. "You find anything?" Liza asked curiously from beside me. I frowned and shook my head, "nothing important. They do have a picture of the founders though, take a look." I showed her the pictures that the author attached to the founders' names.

The Siren Song Series

The Siren Song Series

I hated to be so transparent, but the truth was, Rachel knew me well and obviously saw the strength in the connection to Dax or she wouldn't have been so compliant. After breakfast with Dax, I took to one of the rocking chairs on the porch to journal before my appointment. It was the first entry that wasn't riddled with doubt and fear-the first holding a note of optimism. I couldn't wait to share it with Dr. Wright, and I'd even gone back to using her name in the appropriate manner. I felt light, almost playful, for the first time in ages when I dotted the last sentence with a period. I found Dax inside standing in the kitchen with his back to me.

Her thirst for vengeance

Her thirst for vengeance

“Maybe, Or someone powerfull or related to him. People in power bury things all the time.” That made me determined to find out the truth even more. I stood again. “Keep looking.” Another hour passed. I was starting to feel the same hopelessness I had when I first returned from the mountains — the feeling that I was always one step behind a truth I couldn’t grasp. Then Ingrid gasped. “Kayla,” she whispered, holding up another large leather-bound book with golden trim. “I found one! it looks like the alphas personal diary.” I moved quickly, taking the book from her hands. The cover read Alpha Dominic: Reflections and Private Thoughts.

Touch me tender, Break me wild: A Steamy Compilation

Touch me tender, Break me wild: A Steamy Compilation

She pushed that down deep, sipping from stored bags in the fridge. Rain hammered the windows that Tuesday night. Lydia sat at her desk, sorting through a box of new books. One caught her eye: Spirits of the Wild: Bindings and Releases. The cover was cracked leather, smelling like dirt and old forests. She flipped it open, her fingers brushing over faded words in some ancient tongue. "Just a peek," she told herself. Curiosity burned in her chest. She read the spell aloud, soft and quick, like testing a locked door. The air changed. It got heavy, like before a storm. Candles on the shelves flickered wild, shadows dancing on the walls. A rumble started low, from the book itself. Lydia's hands s

Moonbound Heart Saga: Shadowed Veil (Book Two)

Moonbound Heart Saga: Shadowed Veil (Book Two)

The one she swore she’d never open unless she had to. It wasn’t really a book anymore at all. It used to be, once — long ago, before water and smoke and teeth and panic had worked on it. Now it was a block. Thick and lopsided, bound in mismatched leather, edges burned and split. Half the pages were gone, charred to curls. The writing that remained had bled in places, ink like old blood, symbols Baylee didn’t recognize, stuttering between languages that shouldn’t have sat together.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day Lily Said “I Love You” Without Actually Saying the Words It happened on a rainy afternoon. God. The kind of afternoon that made the entire house feel warm. Safe. Home. Rain tapped softly against the windows while the ocean beyond the cliffs disappeared beneath gray mist. Everything felt peaceful. Fair. Lily sat in the living room surrounded by books, toys, and approximately seventeen objects that were definitely not toys but somehow became toys anyway. Reasonable honestly. Meanwhile, Adrian worked on his laptop.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

Jilin lifted her hand from the folder and placed it on top of mine. But I withdrew from her. I pulled away from Reese too, crossed my arms over my chest and stared at this folder. "You're still alive." I felt the old pain that threatened to tear my heart apart. Even today, in my dreams, I kept hearing my parents' screams. I saw how they had torn them, how the blood flowed and how the light of life had disappeared from their eyes. "Yes, and you have to go to Historia." Very slowly I raised my eyes to her face. "What do you expect from me now?"

For Evan, it was to remove the pressure of protecting us from the werewolves; especially since I had his venom in my veins which made a werewolf bite lethal during the full moon. I sat in the darkened room with only the light of the fire to illuminate the shadows that lurked in corners of the cabin’s great room long after Evan and Megan retired while I went over the events of the day in my mind. I’d just reached the point of acceptance enough to allow me to sleep and deal with things the following day when the ghost of a beautiful young woman appeared before me. She was far less opaque than my aunt Lily had been, but I could see her none-the-less. Instinct told me that I was face to face

Mate? Or Die!

Mate? Or Die!

One by one, they were swiped and declined, her desperation grew with each failure. When the last card maxed out, Sylvia glared at the clerk. “Fine! Put it back.” The clerk returned each item to the shelves, including the ancient book. Dominic’s gaze shifted to me. “Anything else catch your eye?” I nodded toward the book. “Just that.” Dominic gestured to the clerk, who handed it to me with a bow. Sylvia glared at me as her lips curled in a snarl. “You think you’ve won something?”
