The bats weren't just biting; they were sonic weapons. Julian screamed as his metal armor began to vibrate and crack under the assault. Caleb vaulted back onto the balcony, landing beside Scarlett. He was covered in black oil and blue blood, breathing hard.

"You're dead!" Adrian roared, his fist glowing with golden light. In a flash, he launched a punch at the bat with terrifying speed. The bat barely had time to react before the golden fist slammed into it, hurling the creature into the distance. As the bat flew backward, it unleashed a swarm of venomous needles, forming a deadly web aimed at Adrian. The latter’s expression remained icy, eyes blazing with fury, as his body was enveloped in a protective blue aura.
