Alpha's Cursed Bride

Alpha's Cursed Bride

They had been the blooming itself. The manor had never stood. It had been the standing itself. The great oak had never grown. It had been the growing itself. Every symbol had pointed to its own pointing. Every metaphor had dissolved into its own dissolving. Every attempt to describe had succeeded by failing. Because description requires distance. And there was never distance. Only intimacy. The intimacy of seeing with seeing. The intimacy of hearing with hearing. The intimacy of feeling with feeling. The intimacy of knowing with knowing. No gap.

The symbol danced tantalizingly on the precipice of my recollection, teasing me with its cryptic significance. I closed my eyes, willing my mind to delve deeper into the recesses of my memories. Images and fragments of the past flickered across the canvas of my mind, each one like a fleeting wisp of smoke. But amid the chaos, a flicker of recognition emerged, a whisper of certainty amidst the storm of uncertainty. "The library," I breathed, the word slipping from my lips like a revelation. The library, with its shelves brimming with ancient tomes and forgotten lore, held the key to deciphering the meaning behind the symbol. It was a sanctuary of knowledge, a repository of wisdom.

“But then why would the tree do that?” Raine came up with a solution, “Maybe, because he did not want the solution to fall in the wrong hands. Didn’t you say that the Stem had been looking at possible candidates for some time and had found some wrong ones? It must be the tree’s last tactic to not let someone find whatever it is that can defeat the lich to not accidentally reach someone who would misuse it.” Garcia simply asked us about the symbols that we saw in the texts and then note down what they meant on a piece of paper. Every symbol had two or three different uses in the language of the book.

Hello dear readers, some of you seem to be confused about a few things which I wish to clarify. I write chapters daily and upload them which is why you see daily updates. 'Ongoing' only means that the story is yet to reach its end, it does not mean 'incomplete/dropped' Happy reading!!

I must say that I'm really enjoying this book. I did think that it was rather interesting that Hayden didn't catch on that Madeleine was his mate until AFTER she found her wolf Lea. The author had an amazing imagination and talent. I hope to be able to read more of her books.

"Have you figured anything out?" "Not yet." He turned the stone over thoughtfully. "But I recognize the system." Scarlett waited patiently. "The symbols aren't letters." "They're not?" Aldric shook his head. "They represent ideas." Lucas frowned. "Like an old language?" "Older than language." Everyone listened more carefully now. Aldric continued, "Each symbol represents a concept instead of a word. Moon. River. Trust. Blood. Home. They combine to create meaning." Scarlett immediately remembered the strip hidden inside her necklace.
