Mr. Lowell then said, "We need to get down as soon as possible." She felt some relief because they were no longer so high up in the sky. She held on to Mr. Lowell as they jumped off the plane, and he deployed his parachute. They ended up landing on a beach, but there was no one in sight. Mr. Lowell got up and wiped the sand from his body before helping Elena off the ground.

The plane landed at JFK airport smoothly, its tires kissing the tarmac with a soft screech. The sky outside was a dull gray, the kind that made New York City look like a black-and-white movie. This is something that I have been needing to do for quite some time now. Before it gets much later, I begin to make a lazy descent. I had time to calm myself down too, most of the journey was filled with me crying my eyes out and struggling to see where I was going. I'd never flown before, so when the realization hit me that I was going to have to land, I could honestly say, that I crapped my pants. I slowed my speed, then lowered my legs so that they were facing down towards the ground. Slowing the motion of my wings, I just hovered there for a minute or so. I tried to get them to turn and lower me to the ground, but I honestly had no idea what I was doing. “I just want to stop fucking flying,” I shouted in frustration.

Eddie nods, and goes a little higher, she chuckles and follows him, he encourages her to go faster, then teaches her how to bank a corner. “Outside is another thing, there are winds to consider. But you should try and swoop to land, it’s fun and looks cool too.” She watches as he tucks his wings in to dive, then stretches them wide to capture the air and slow his descent so he can get his feet under him. He walks a couple of steps and turns, to look up at her, “See, so cool.” She smiles then takes a breath before following his example. She ended up a foot higher than she’d intended, but flaps once to steady herself as her feet touch the ground again. He walks up to her and nods,
