We had stopped playing fetch, and started playing a game similar to volleyball, except we didn’t have a net. The only objective was to keep the ball from touching the ground. I was laughing hard as I watched Hugo’s mouth barely make contact with the ball, then he would snap his jaw shut to make the ball pop up. I would get under the ball and slap it back to him. We played for two hours before he finally got tired and went to rest.
