The crowd's murmurs died down, replaced by an unsettling silence. Lord Cedric emerged from the shadows, his imposing figure commanding attention. His robes swept the floor, the sound echoing through the silence. His eyes locked onto mine, their piercing gaze sending shivers down my spine. The Dark Lord's eyes widened in shock and pain, but before he could retaliate, King Edward stabbed him again, this time in the heart. The Dark Lord's body collapsed to the ground, his hold on the darkness broken forever. Exhausted but victorious, King Edward and I looked out over the battlefield. Our allies had perished, but we had saved the kingdom from the clutches of the Dark Lord. As dawn broke, we stood among the fallen, our hearts heavy with grief but our spirits unbroken.

The king loomed over him, his eyes blazing with fury. “It ends now,” the king growled, raising a claw for the final blow. But before he could strike, a surge of dark energy erupted from the shadows. Black tendrils snaked around the king’s massive form, pulling him back and pinning his limbs. Aelindra stepped forward, her crimson eyes gleaming with triumph. “Did you really think I’d let you have all the fun?” she said, her voice dripping with malice. The king thrashed against the tendrils, his muscles straining as he tried to break free. “You dare use your foul magic here?” he roared. “You will pay for this treachery!”

I shrugged. He broke into laughter, a sick laugh that made me turn my gaze back to him. He wiped the tears from the corner of his eyes and smiled. "Do you think this will end just like that? You ruined my plans to acquire your gift for more powers! If it was you, I would have been able to absorb the power and have you take the consequences for it but it's all ruined now! Not only have I lost the only way to achieve that, but your mate has alerted the king of the light elves about your abduction and has waged war against us. More than two hundred dark elves are dead because of you! They are being hunted down everywhere in the world because your mate called for it!!!"

"No my King, it wasn't Barwolf, no one has seen Barwolf since. It was King Dark." Dark? Whipping around quickly like a wind. "What did you just say now?" she query coming out from the burnt room to stand before the guards and servants. "Yes my King," another guard said, supporting the first guard. "We saw King Dark going inside and staying in for about two minutes then he came out and walked away. Then the stench of fire burning reached our nose and we tried to put out the fire but it was beyond our power my King, the fire was increasing rapidly.
