The Demon King Chronicles; Demon-Named
Kilvic listened, wondering where the boy had heard this version of the story.
“…And to all the weak-willed he gave names,” Gyra narrated. “And with their new names came powers equal to that of mages. Eventually, their numbers grew, and the man had to himself an army of mages gathered from across all twelve kingdoms. Then four hundred years ago, he waged war on all the kingdoms with an army of demons and weak-willeds, weak-willed no longer, because they were something else, something stronger, something different…”
Like every annoying story teller, Gyra let the story end, trailing off without a finality, and Kilvic, knowing what was required of him, took the bait.
