Then a slow, calculating smile. “Good.” Lucian frowned. “Good?” The Alpha stepped closer, power radiating like a silent avalanche. “If the Luna has truly awakened, then she is more than his weakness.” His gaze darkened. “She is the key.” Back at the pack grounds, Aiden turned toward the direction of the border, fury simmering beneath controlled calm. “They’re testing us,” he said. Maya stepped beside him — not behind. “Then let them.”

There was a giant podium in the middle of the yard with a stand on it, and everybody seemed to be crowded around it. "What?" I turned and looked at Nikko, who was beaming. "What is this?" "This is your Luna ceremony," he said, wrapping his arms around me. "Luna ceremony? You don't mean…" My eyes started to tear up. "I get to be Luna now?" "You've earned it, my love."
