How could I explain it without sounding insane? Creepy old women, shadowy figures in my room, Ethan being a psycho and being everywhere I turned… it all sounded ridiculous.

The sleeves were pushed up just enough to show defined forearms, veins faintly visible when he adjusted the books in his hands. This was ridiculous. I was ridiculous. I’d just had an emotionally catastrophic conversation with Rowan not even fifteen minutes ago and here I was mentally cataloguing a stranger’s bone structure like I was conducting an orthopedic research. He was still talking. “…and I swear half of what people say isn’t even accurate,” he continued, shaking his head lightly. “Campus gossip is basically creative writing.” I nodded automatically, even though I had not processed a single word.

I give him an incredulous look. “That’s rude,” I reply. He shakes his head. “Trust me, you don’t want to pay attention to some of these talks. The second you are done with the conversation, will you realise that making sense of their words is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Absolutely pointless.” He says.

I shrug that thought away as he started talking. I notice that whenever he's talking or making a speech, he's not making any sense on some part and just keep on blabbering words, and in my point of view, it is somehow annoying. He's wasting time by blabbering nonsense, time is moving quickly, the UVirus is spreading fast, and given what we've witnessed the day before yesterday and yesterday itself tells that the effect of the UVirus is a zombie apocalypse. If he will keep on doing this, I bet the whole world's population will turn into zombies.
